I'm so happy to share our full home tour video today for our first home, after our renovation is done 😍 It's been a tiring but fulfilling few months as we went from searching for and purchasing our first house together, to renovating it, and now, we are going to embark on building a home in our humble abode 😊

I like that the tv is at that height so that you don’t have to strain your neck. Two things I would do differently if it was my house: I would have that kitchen counter divider the same height as the table or lower to open up your space. I would also not have that large ottoman, just a normal couch for the same reason. But I am old. 😂 However, I simply love the colours and the simplicity.
i likes the idea design of the woody shelves covered over the living room windows area. My ID i chose , they not very creative and bad workmanship. btw, what is the whole cost for your house?

My fiancé is very pantang about mirrors facing us in our bedroom when we sleep but there isn’t enough space to put the vanity table next to our bed and facing in the opposite direction. Thanks in advance! 🙏🏻

Nice design! My fiancé would really like the “wooden” ceiling beam in your living room.
Your kitchen sink gives me real anxiety tho. It looks like it’s top mount and the tap isn’t with the basin, you’d have to make sure the area surrounding your tap and your basin remains dry so that it doesn’t ruin your kitchen carpentry. If water seeps into any gaps around it, it could easily have mould and would also be a good environment for insects to live in too.
Thanks for the heads up!! We'll definitely keep it dry and clean. Preferred it top mount over undermount due to personal preference... both has its pros and cons 🤣

Where did you get the Bertazzoni Steam Oven from? Did you find it hard to maintain with the steam function as compared to a traditional oven? Thanks!
They have a showroom at Tiong Bahru area, and iirc are also stocked at some Courts/Harvey Norman? Tbh no difference from a traditional oven for us 😊

Hi Xinlin, for your track lights, it seems flushed in the ceiling. Is it only possible bcos u have false ceiling?
For my room yes, there is false ceiling so we could do the flushed track lights. For HJ's room, it's the normal track lights because there's no false ceiling :)

Hi Xin lin! Really enjoyed your home tour, but i noticed that the subway tiles in the master bathroom seem to be quite uneven (based on the video), especially the part nearer to the shower area. You might want to check with ID/contractor to see if there's any way you can rectify it!
Hello! Thanks for pointing out! Ah actually it's the tiles itself that are irregular 😂 we initially wanted black grouting for the subway tiles but because of how irregular in shape they are, we went with white to prevent it looking trippy 😄

Arch is bad for fengshui because it resembles a tombstone.
I like the cozy vibe but knowing it is a govt housing and not a landed property makes me think of the cons of leasehold properties and not forever yours to pass on your children the land title perpetual ownership..hoping it is still worth it. ❤
