I live up in the midwest. I always dream of living near salt free cars & warmer weather but man the snakes and bugs yall have make me rethink my southern dreams.
You should push your merchandise like Puddin , fab shop, does. That could help you pay for your Lift. That way subscribers are helping you and your family out and getting something for it in return. I love all your videos. Keep up the good work Garth !!!❤
Thank you
Pudding has done a great job on his merchandise... But the bad thing is we need help with websites. Computers suck because they don't do what I ask it to do!🤣
We're only a few months old on here, but we'll get there.
Use a lot of liquid wrench, also wire wheel on the surface and finally antiseize on all bolts ,and lugs and gobs on all brake parts
That old GMC is looking good, It has one hell of a flat bed on it, I really enjoy your videos.😊😊
Drum breaks are so special.
Awesome video brother can't wait to see it drive I hope you're little princess has a awesome birthday
You are like more projects than time plus Im disabled can't do a lot any more but I try my best
Garth, you’re doing great. Keep cranking dude. I’ll keep watching. Respect.
Thank you!
Hey Garth, that "line" in the rotors actually has a purpose, back in the all GM disc brakes had that, it's a discard indicator, the rotors could be machined as many times as needed until the groove was gone, then it was time to replace them, if you measure the depth of that you'll find that there's 3 to 4 times more machinable material than on more modern vehicles
Good to know!
Great job. Love the video. I'm rather fond of the 67-72 trucks.
I just don't know how you do it, but bless you. Your channel is growing. One step more, and you'll be completed on the wrecker! Happy Birthday to your little one.
Ya doing a great job there though dude. Keep going.😊
Awesome kids, I laughed so hard when she didn't know what the vcr tapes where. Keep it up buddy

Great job Garth your the Man don't stress about the haters you will always have them glad to see everything is coming together love the Chanel keep on keeping on glad the Camaro is running good it's a sweet car One of my favorite
Need a big air hammer they use on the big trucks
Keep it up brother your doing good. Enjoy watching your videos
I appreciate it
Great video man I'm been busy been falling behind on your videos tell your family I said hi
1 other thing to mention, I didn't hear or see anything about the rear hub grease seals aka wheel seals, I noticed you said you don't have alot of experience w/these, so let me offer some advice, those seals have a 95% chance of leaking now that they've been disturbed, I suggest taking it back apart to change them, I kno it sux, but you can do it now or most likely yer gonna do it later
Clyde is still, full of surprises.
Definatly take the rear end off dude.
Just unbolt it all and wheel it out. I'm only a quarter of the way through, so might have done it already. Lol😅
7 lugs... just as good as 8!😂
Excited to see that 289 come to life! Those things are durable. Budget builds are my favorite! See ya soon (well, I'll see you, you won't see me!😂😂😂😂😂)
Happy early birthday🎉
You can't spray for the scorpion I'm thinking of moving to Texas on the coast near South Padray I live in Arkansas now
Garth...it might worth ya while pulling the whole back axle out complete and cleaning it up.
Them old recker trucks have usually led a hard life, it should make it easier for you to work on.
Just an idea.😊
Keyboard pirates will always tell you what’s wrong. Nice progress. I don’t think some of these understand how much work is involved.
Ok young man I got to give you a hard time but is just a joke so lol but I drive a Mustang so watch it my Mustang ain't nothing to sneeze at. And I didn't know that your oldest daughter had a child so congratulations Grandpa. And that wrecker is coming along nicely I can't wait to see it when you get done. And I probably have missed few of your contents so if I have I apologize . But I am getting to them slowly and surely. Keep up the good work.
YES that line is suppost to be thare . my 71 caprice has that also
I watch and thumbs up. I'd like to see you succeed.
I appreciate that!
Garth, you need to be careful of those old elastic springs, I've seen better fall apart and flip the truck over. That comes from am old school trucker.
What a perfect garage for a challenger lift. Don’t you think challenger?
All kinds of room for a lift, but no room in my wallet yet! 😁
sounds sweet
My husband, Gene, who worked as a grease monkey for years says the following about working on all vehicles:
While you’re in the repair neighborhood, it’s wiser to replace the old stuff than to be sorry later! Hint, hint. 😊
hahahahaha the dent in that drive shaft is a common occurrence from dropping off trailer. age of pinion seal may have started leaking from driveline shock too. Groove in rotors are wear indicators, when there gone rotor is worn out, does not matter what side.
The dent in this driveshaft is from a forklift picking it up and moving it around. I'm finding the same dent in several vehicles from the same place.
I also don't have a lift, But I live in Maine and we don't have anything crawling around in the ground that will bite you. Or anything poisonous.
Rub it in!
@@garthsgraveyardgarage well we need a good mechanic like you up here!
👍
Try muriatic acid (concrete cleaner) from home depot for de rusting that 289 block
I have a few blocks that need some derusting, so I'll probably experiment with different techniques.
@@garthsgraveyardgarage I tried all kinds of things to get rust out of an old motorcycle gas tank and muriatic was the only thing that worked. And it worked good!
That trick is definitely on my list of things to experiment with.
Three lugs are OK, seven is better.
😁👍👍
Those rear springs are totally flat the overload leafs are already touching and there is no load on the truck. Time to get new springs or re arch the ones you got because those are no good by the looks of them.
One step and one dollar at a time. We'll get there eventually along with everything else.
Garth were did you get the propane torch from?
Amazon
@@garthsgraveyardgarage I thought so! Do you remember what the name of it is? I just find your channel and started back at the first show! “Enjoying it and keep it up!”
Welding Torch Fueled By 20 lb Propane With Type 1 Valve, OPD Valve a.co/d/1ODZ6F7
Garth do'nt for wrecker crane and winch
Finesse it.... 😂😂😂
“GGAB,” Give Garth A Break.
😂😂 I'm so using this.
