Costa Adeje is a part of the coast in the south-west of Tenerife, which consists of several other smaller towns, belonging to the municipality of Adeje. Until the 1970s, these were mainly agricultural areas, which changed their character with the development of tourism in this part of the island. Currently, Costa Adeje consists of several main districts: San Eugenio, Torviscas, Playa Fañabé, El Beril, Playa del Duque, La Caleta, El Puertito, Playa Paraíso, Callao Salvaje.
Playa de Fañabé (Fanabe Beach) is a popular and extensive beach in Costa Adeje on the south-west coast of Tenerife. It has gray, fine sand. It is equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers for rent. There are many bars and restaurants along the beach and a seaside promenade. Fanabe Beach is adjacent to Torviscas Beach.
