  • A quick video on how I used one inline fan to exhaust 2 grow tents and the long term benefits of buying a quality inline fan vs a cheap one. The crazy thing is that this inline fan is extremely well priced considering that it is pretty much the best option available on the market.

    The cause of the noise from cheaper ducting is the plastic between the wire rings moving as air passes through the ducting. That's why the AC ducting is thicker, less movement = less noise.
    I do agree with you; black ducting needs black hose clamps. Thanks for sharing your journey.

    AC Infinity make good products. But if you’re running at 100% currently, you cannot set your controller to monitor anything on an alarm mode. For instance if it raised above a 90° setpoint that you had placed, it will not have any more capacity to boost up to remove dangerous hightemps when your away🤷‍♂️. That is the main purpose of the controller. JS

    I have a roughly 3×3×6 clone/veg chamber & 4×4×8 bloom chamber.. my veg chamber by nature isnt as watt/light intensive - just a led light rated for the area.. the bloom chamber has led light rated for area plus 2 far red/ir booster puc, 3 54watt T5HO agromax bulbs- pureveg+UV , UVA+, PureUV & a California lightworks uvb bar to even out the UV spectrum, footprint & penetration. So yes the bloom chamber runs about as hot as a 600watt HID. 😅 The way i have mine set up is i use a lungroom for intake air.. lungroom is ac central air. i also have humidifiers in each chamber. The veg chamber has a open intake - negative pressure with the outake outside sucking out and then blasting into the bloom chamber to create positive pressure. I then have another ac Infinity unit the T6 or whatever the 6 inch dc mitor is😅 anyways that is outside the tent and i have that suck out the hot air from the bloom chamber and have it routed to a carbon scrubber. I run the whole system at about 65% a tad over half.. but the carbon scrubber does make me turn up the bloom chamber vent speed setting a tad higher. Never had a issue but then again my ac is 69-70° in summer and even colder in winter so it works pretty efficiently. If i had to do it again id get the 8 inch models or another 6.. just cause i dont like running my vent speed wot.. wide open max setting etc.. but as for space move everything you can outside the tent... ballasts, ventilation motors , carbon scrubber etc.. you are gonna need that space plus you gotta be pretty brave habnging all that off these tent supports.. just move that heat outside and leave that space for light canapoy and the girls and a humidifiers/dehumidifier.

    Good play. I am doing the exact same thing with an Infinity fan. They are so worth the extra money. You can also run 2 fans with 1 controller. Temp setting and humidity setting is very good stuff. If you use the temp and humidity settings it adjusts speed automatically, it also has a loud warning bell when you hit your alarm temp and rh. Or you can pick a setting and roll. Its a pretty expensive temp and hygrometer though. You can use a S series cloudline without the control module. T series cloudline has the controller and temp/rh probe the S series is obviously cheaper without controller Same fan though. Both can share the same control module. Intake outake.. good video. The ducting is worth the money too. Very nice...

    So go to a store that sells crochet rings n the big 2x2 size air exchange filters, separate the rings cut filter material a little bigger than the ring n put it between the rings. Reason for this is you can keep the round sleeve openings in your tent open for airflow n it will be filtered air n tent won't get to hot, put material one way in one hole n one the other it's awesome for roof vents n floor vents in tents.

    Watching your attempt at cutting the support wire was amusing, but understandable...That wire is designed that way to keep it from collapsing in situations...I too had issues back when I first started to work with that flex hose and no matter what type, size or brand, there all the same...I learned to get out my linemen’s pliers and make it easy...
    Also...Glad you showed this idea...I’m doing a similar setup for the 3 section Grow Room I’m putting together...But I’ll admit I have HVAC experience so this should be cool to try...😎

    I been thinking of a similar idea. Taking the ac infinity T6 and linking a 4x8 and 2x4 together. The Cfm is within range. I thought of a 45° split reduced to 4" pipe on the 4x2 side to pull less air there and more off the 6 inch 4x8 side. Also id set up the ducting to have as few turns and as short as possible. Even cutting off every inch you can and stretching it helps. I been testing this and the long turning hoses slows things down more then I wanted. I think it can be done but I'd much rather have just bought the big 8" fan for this.

    est way is you want to reduce the size of both lines going in to the tent so for optimal condition you would want a 6 in fan that reduce to 2, 4 in intakes this will allow you drop the fan speed even more saving on power or if you have long runs to make with your ventilation

      power = voltage * amps. now calculate your average 16 amp fuse with ~50% wear in mind so you dont use your in-wall power cable as a space heater over time. or the fuse itself. best thing about this, i'm not a electrician either. I'm just educated properly.

    • @David-eg6sd
      @David-eg6sd Před 2 lety

      @@B01 give you that, an electrician would say it's 1350w but they also calculate it with RMS if AC, but that's negligible for this kind of safety. a fuse holds 3000w (16A @ 220V), but only punctual. let it draw 3000w for like 12hrs and it will blow after like 1. this is why single 2000w devices (example hair dryers, microwaves, vacuum cleaners) are straight out banned from being sold for home use at my place.
