That apocalyptic train is the coolest train I've ever seen, good job. Now a city and or a town needs to have the same theme..
Yeeeeeeppppper! I'm working on it. But first, the subway!
@@ItsMyRailroad can't wait for that , I love detailing you do on your layout...
@@ItsMyRailroad you are definitely having fun modelling your way!👍 Now, that monster long car likely needs more weight onto the wheels in particular the lead and tail wheels. Another option could be to fix the center sets of wheels and slice off the flanges and minimize rail contact, with large radius curves it shouldn't be too obvious if they track just off the rails vertically and horizontally.
Welcome bake Steve, you have been missed. Your layout is incredible.
Hey thanks for that!
Is Steve a baker? 🤔
Mad Max of model trains!
Welcome Back Steve! You have been missed by the N Scale community.
Glad to see you back. You are an inspiration for all us regular guys just wanting to run trains
Thanks Paul!
So thrilled to see you back at it!! I love how you aren’t confined to the norms of the hobby and things are constantly in flux. It’s motivating and inspiring. Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks John, will-do my friend!
U ain’t right, Dude. I love it! Good to see you back. Sorry for your loss too!
LOL! You are correct in me not being right LOL! Thanks for stopping by and for the encouragement my friend.
I love these videos
Thanks! Now that I have something new, we should see more!
Welcome Back Steve. I have missed your videos. Also, Praying for EVERYTHING you and your family have been going through and your loss. Please Please Please don’t stay gone this long anymore. Really miss your humor and your knowledge of the hobby.
Thanks Steve! It's been a rough couple of years for everyone. Hopefully we'll see some spectacular things in 2023!
Steve You definitely are the liveliest train guy I’ve seen here. Thanks for being You.
When I was in high school my grandfather had a n gauge layout in his basement. We both had a good time working on it, so my friend I am sure your grandson enjoys the time with you.
He loves watching those trains run. Thanks Kevin!
Glad to see you back Steve! I keep going back watching your older videos they are so entertaining! So sorry for your loss and I hope 2023 will be better!
Thanks Melissa! Appreciate the encouragement!
Great to see your are back. Looking forward to your future stuff. Thank you Steve for sharing.
Hi Justin! Thanks for the encouragement brother!
Just enjoyed re-watching Videos 70, 71 and 72 because that's the stage I'm at, Many thanks.
That train is awesome! You are the man.
Naw, I'm just drawn that way LOL! Thanks Davin!
Steve, keep rolling down your railroad your way. Nice to see you again, loving your layout. Regards, Stephen.
Hi Stephen! Thanks as always for stopping by. Nice to "see" you!
Love the Mad Max loco!!! Awesome!
Thanks Dean!!!
I normally don't care for "fantasy trains", but the Mad Max train tickles my funny bone 🤣(Especially the guy stuck on the 'people catcher' or whatever it is!)
Welcome back! Sorry for your loss. May 2023 be much brighter for you and yours
Love the apocalypse train! It's your railroad, have fun!
Thank you my friend! I am hoping 2023 is a great year for all of us. Stay strong, stay healthy, and love someone who doesn't deserve it...
Glad you’re back enjoy watching your videos
Thanks a ton for watching David!
Yeah, good to see you. Mad Max train is coolest ever. Looking forward to more fun.
Thanks Craig! More is definitely coming up!
I just wanted to stop by and say that I miss your videos. They were and are an inspiration to me to keep working on my small layout.
What fun, love your videos and your enthusiasm. The new train is fantastic. Keep dreaming, you're bringing new life to the hobby.
What a fantastic train. Whoo whoo. Hi from the UK.
A thumbs up from across the pond! Whoo whoo! Thanks, Keith!
Great to see you again Steve, sounds like a real good idea. Lets get started.....rail on...missed you
Thanks for hanging out brother! Rai-on!
I don’t know why but, I just love that “Mad Max” style train! Very original and, unique! Just plain cool!
Your train reminds me of a Mad Maxx kind of train. Glad to see that your not dead, Brother !
Yep the rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. LOL! Thanks Jeff!
I also kit basked a long flatcar using several kits with ten trucks underneath. Yes, it is hard to re-rail, but it is fun to watch it go through turnouts. I also kit-bashed a Atlas SD38 into a SD39. This was back when Atlas first come out with their new line. Looks cool and runs well. Only wished I would have bought more when they were cheap.
I've kit bashed lots of structures but this is my first train. Really dug it. Sounds like you enjoy it too. Thanks for sharing, and rail-on my friend!
Good to see you. All the model railroad purist have just been shaken to the core!!! Great job.
Steve, some Black n White portraits of you would be EPIC. Normal guy + Black and White = EPIC
LOL! Thanks for the suggestion!
If you just like to watch the trains go by, that is absolutely fine, no shame in it at all.
If you've not seen it take a look at Everard Junction, the build is still in but he built it to watch the trains go by.
Oh I've been to that channel many times. Excellent videos and layout. Thanks Richard!
On my top deck I have “switching ops” you have to stand or sit on bar stool to run it. It’s very complicated but fun for an advanced railroader. On my bottom deck you sit on a garage stool and I have 2 mainline loops that you “just sit and watch the trains run”. I built the bottom for me and my 4 kids ages 2-9. It was really hard at first to build in a 20x15 foot space two loops with almost no sidings. We enjoy listening to 60s music and the kids honk the horn at all the crossings and we just play trains or watch them run. On Xmas day we were in there for 6 hours straight alone. Best decision I ever made. Been in n scale 27 years. And I have a CZcams channel documenting layout and scenery construction. Thanks Steve I like all the layouts you built but this is the best to date -Tyler
Hi Mr. Steve: I like your videos a lot. If you're not constructing anything on the layout, no big deal. Most of us like watching your trains run. Maybe some yard operations on the layout. Thank you
Steve my friend ...WOW....you've gone and done it again , that Mad Max inspired train is freakin fantastic and the subway idea ....well is simply awesome build i cant wait for that , the layout looks great id love to drink beers and run/watch trains with you 🎉 ...Regilar guys RULE !!!
Hanging out for an update. You’re an inspiration to us mere mortals 😂
The blinking is the pulse width modulation. The decoder turns them quickly on and off instead of reducing the voltage.
Yeah, I figured that with the shutter speed of the camera makes them look like they blink. Can't see it with the naked eye though. Thanks Mario!
Cool creation. The right way is the way that works for you.
Thanks, Randy! And I couldn't agree more. That is the core principle this channel was founded on. Rail-on brother!
@@ItsMyRailroad I have already used many of your tips with great success. Keep on having fun running trains. 👍
Good to see you again Steve, we've missed you.
Aww, I'm not worthy. Thanks PVRR!
That is badass.... Looks like a good portable moonshine train... One of the best trading things for the time it is modeled in. Very nice!!!!!
It may be moonshine. Of course at the back of the train you may have noticed some women selling some other goods as well. Shhhhh! It's a secret. Thanks James!
@@ItsMyRailroad More videos... I need to get mine going again.. Guess i need to take my own advice lol.
Very Impressive! Model Railroad
Also very sorry for your family loss.
I Model Railroad to help me cope with PTSD. Watching you show is inspiring and helpful. Stay Safe, Stay Well and keep up the Great Work!
Thank you my friend! I wish all the best on you and yours!
Fantastic! I feel like getting out of bed & "de & re" constructing some of my trains & turning them into something fun, but I guess I'll wait till the sun comes up. thanks for the inspiration!
Of all the model train videos I watch, yours is the best. I am so detailed oriented I could never make a prototype rail road. I have your mind set with the hobby. Gotta have fun, and I love watching the trains. I think if I could watch more videos like your I would start another layout.
I'm glad my efforts have some meaning out there. I just love doing it! Thanks!
Happy New Year, Steve, Thanks for sharing
Happy New Year to you Dave, and thanks!
Good to see you again. I will be looking forward to seeing the subway videos.
Copy that! Appreciate the encouragement, my friend!
That is one awesome apocalyptic train you have mashed together there. Absolutely love it
Hey Bruce! Thanks for that brother. I had a great time building it. That loco though took a lot of time. That's the 3rd version :( Thanks for watching!
DAAAANG, that post-apocalyptic train is sweet! Incredibly creative! I think it might be neat to have some kind of barracks car too, you don't want post-apocalyptic bandit posses to be able to steal those unspecified chemicals you're producing there without a fight ;)
Yeah, that's kind of what the cars in the back are for. That and risky business wink wink. Thanks Michael!
Welcome back Steve ! Missed ya. Good to see the new apocalypse train.
Thank you, my friend! Rail-on!
Love the train, Steve!
Thank you my friend!
Loving the apocalypse train. Super cool build
So glad to see you again my friend! Loved your last video running trains. Excited to see see your subway and future progress videos!
Looks like you had a visit from Madd Maxx 🙂 Glad to see you back 🙂 Great job! 🙂
Yep! Me and Mel hung out over drinks one night and came up with this idea. Or, not really. LOL! Thanks, my friend!
Keep doing the good work and running the trains! And happy New Year ! Much success with your projects in 2023 and good health!
Many greetings from Belgium!
Hi Johann! Thanks for watching from so far away! All the best to you and your now and evermore!
Great to see your layout again. That is one crazy looking new train, I really got some Mad Max vibes from seeing it.
Glad to see your back Steve. Have really missed your videos. Sorry for your loss. Hope you keep the videos coming, a real delight to see modeling by the regular guy. Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year to you and the family
Hey Bigman! Thanks for the well wishes. Same to you and yours from the 1st Lady and me!
Wow... way to go.... look forward to the transit addition... Happy New Year....
You sir, are anything but regular. Talented with a great imagination and sense of humor. Loved the video and your Mad Max, post-apocalyptic train!
Excellent work Steve! I'm a railroader and I know for a fact that my railroad there are certain sections of the track that close to the edge so it is very prototypical. Can't wait to see the new Subway layout!
That train is totally wicked! The guy strapped to the front is perfect. Please include the making of sidebar, or videos on construction tips/ideas on this set up.
Like it. I've been seeing these train pictures on pinterest for some time now and had an idea fo doing one too. 😆😂😂😆🤪.
I've been telling people about the nickel for years and glad it see someone tried it and it works for them too. As far as just running trains I'm planning my layout too do just that. I'm not into all the scenery, not that I'm not going to have scenery but I'm into the trains not the rest of the world. The subway sounds interesting. Thank for the update 👍👍👍
I believe the nickel is something you suggested I try a few videos ago. It really works. Really looking forward to the subway! Rail-on brother!
Good to see you back, Steve....thought you'd fallen off the face of the earth. You're hilarious....ought to try comedy...lol...welcome back 🚂
I've just been a little "Side Tracked" with other projects. Thanks for the warm welcome!
@@ItsMyRailroad understand....ive not worked on mine in quite sometime, but i do stay upto date with the videos
PUTTING THE FUN BACK INTO THE HOBBY --------
"I'll be done when it ain't fun". You can use that line if you want LOL! Thanks Robert!
Omg!!! Your back? I just got a 4-8-4 n scale r.r. For Christmas. And was starting to rewatch some of your older shows I enjoyed. Wish you were back on more often. I almost forgot your Chanel even existed si seeing you put out a vid was a surprise
Appreciate you watching the older stuff. Got a lot of videos to watch on this channel. Hopefully I will have some good stuff for the channel coming up soon.
Good to see you back and always enjoy your videos, keep railing buddy
Hi Eric! Thanks for watching, appreciate the encouragement!
How big is your layout? From the videos it looks like it takes up about 1 1/2 bays if your garage
Welcome back after! After forty years of model railroading i am jut now starting a tramway. lost of fun to add to your railroad. I also use the Faller car system Kato has a great selection of streets will rail attached. Just Have fun!!
Yeah, I've been drooling over tis for a couple years now. Finally taking the plunge! Thanks brother!
Definitely one of those kitbashing videos is needed! Hope all is well!
I really like your & Gorge Swiss Junction very nice and your logging camp. Your mad Max train looks very awesome I love it
I'm so happy you're back and running big-ass trains! Hopefully there's more to come.
Welcome back Steve! Love that "Mad Max" style train!!!
Heh! heh! About 1/2 way through the build I gave up on justifying every little detail. Now it's just a crazy train! Thanks Ray!
Great to see you back! Love your videos. Sorry for your loss.
great to see ya back Pal look forward to the next vlog
Hi Alan! This should be a fun ride. Rail-on!
love the train.
Thanks Brett!
Man that is some awesome stuff. Definitely a staple in this hobby man. Keep it up with anything that makes u happy. We are always here for you.
Will do, and thanks!
Glad to see you back
Thanks, brother!
Are you gonna do anymore vids or have you abandoned your fans?
Holy Mad Max!!!
LOL! Right?! No actual people were injured during the construction or running of this train Bah!
Hope you are well. Stay safe! Glad to see you back. I was concerned that the hobby was not going to be in your future
Funny, I have not been inspired to do a lot of work on the layout. I've just enjoyed watching the trains run. But THEN! It hit me! Subway!!!!! LOL! Thanks Chris!
Glad you’re back Steve. I can’t wait for more great videos to come.
There are more coming now that I have something new to show everyone. Thanks for the encouragement, my friend
Your apocalyptic train is "Bleeping" AWESOME ! I Love it ! You have inspired me to do something similar. As it turns out, my layout is new without scenery or finished tunnels so an apocalyptic theme is something that I can go for with great enthusiasm. My private RR is named after 3 nearby cities. Denver,Omaha and Albuquerque aka D.O.A. Railroad. I love your subway idea and am looking forward to seeing your work on it.
John

Nice to see you back Steve. Sorry to hear about the loss of a family member. Hope your doing well. Good to see trains running too. hope you had a nice Christmas with your family. - Nicholas.
Hey Nicholas! It was a pretty good holiday season so far. Hope you're doing well at your end my friend!
Good to see you back Steve. Looking forward to your subway project.
Thanks Michael! Appreciated brother!
Well good to see you back my friend Steve. Happy New Year
Happy new year to you my friend! Rail-on like a rock star in 2023!
Great to see you Steve. It was a pleasant surprise to see the alarm bell go off for your new video. Love the Apocalyptic train, good way to end the year.
Looking forward to seeing your Subway. I run DC only, cause that's what I got, I have a town on each end of my layout. I got off eBay a forward reverse switch circuit and installed it onto my 3 car commuter train rail. I just turn it on, it goes to the end of the line, stops at the station, times out for a bit and then reverses back to the other town.
I just have it running on its own as I goof around with the other trains, or when doing bench work.
Have a Happy New year, and look forward to the Bell going off again.
Cheers, Robert
Aww thanks :)
Awesome! Welcome back Steve.
I been watching all your videos from start to finish over and over again loving them... I'm still building my dioramas and collecting locomotives and rolling stock for now
Thanks for the support Steven! Rail-on!
Great to see the crazy train guy back. You must have watched a Mad Max rerun that got you fired up. 👍
My middle name is crazy! Well, not really but that would be cool, huh?! LOL! Thanks brother!
Hey Steve, glad to see you back. Really missed your vids.
Thanks William!
Side by side mass trans rail system with auto current reversers and...wa-la...watch them run. Simulate elevators at the terminals with blinking lights and opening/closing doors. Just be sure to make the tunnels tall enough for the "Mad Max" train. Rail on my friend.
Mr C! Yeah, I was looking over the layout last night to see what had to be done to modify. Going to be a lot of work, but I'll spend the next few months building the "demo" version first :) Rail-on brother!
Where have you been ? I looked on every milk carton for ya ! Welcome back
I'm on the milk carton that is in the "Old but not dead section". LOL! Thanks Mike!
Hey Steve, great to see you back. I still envy your enthusiasm and love the fun you are having with your RR. You are doing some really cool stuff so keep it up. I look forward to your next visit. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thanks Gene! Soon as I get my Portrams I'll be back with another video. Stay tuned!
Hey Steve, l really like your " junk " train. Looks like you're having fun with it and at the end of the day, isn't that what really matters? Looking forward to more updates.
This is incredible Steve!
Now that is fantastic, love what you did with parts and pieces, and happy to see you back on showing your layout ,idea’s,and fun things you have done ,hope to see your layout again and keep up the fantastic work
Thanks a ton, Stanley and will-do!
The old nickel on the track trick! Served us well as kids on the TCR and Slot tracks. Good to know here as well!
A Great 'Mad Max' train.
Thanks Geoff!
OMG i really love the mad max loco! the whole train is next level. It's one of the most interesting trains I've seen in some time :)
It took a lot of time but it is not hard to do. (Well, the loco was kind of hard to do). Again, not practical but my grandson loves it!
good to see you again, Steve
Thank you, my friend!
You need a war truck, pig farm, mell gibson, tina turner, nicholas holts, tom hardy and immortan joe. Maybe a bombed out irradiated city/ station, brotherhood of steel, enclave etc looks great! Keep it going!
Good to see you back fella - Happy New Year!
Thanks, and likewise Jeff!
Hi Steve, great to see you back and so sorry to hear of you’re loss. Always good to run trains and I am sure we will all still be here when you are!! All the very best from UK and Happy New Year to you and yours..Chris
ALways happy to hear from the UK! Have a Happy New Year my friend!
I like the dam home made train good job
Thanks my friend! Rail-on!
Cool update on the railroad, love to see that subway train up and running hopefully in the future. 🤟
