- TikTok’s favourite trainspotter, Francis Bourgeois, is on a mission to get the world on board with the joy he finds in trains.
This time, he’s smashing goals with England midfielder Jesse Lingard - and trying to convince him that a DMU has the same appeal as a match day crowd.
Heading back to Jesse’s home turf of Warrington, and one of the busiest stations on the West Coast Main Line, it’s all aboard to get one of England’s biggest stars excited about trains.
In a touching moment, Jesse gives Francis some kind words as he breaks down over what he sees as backlash from the trainspottting community for allegedly not truly being a spotter.
Join Francis Bourgeois as he goes full steam ahead sharing his love of the most misunderstood British pastime, trainspotting, alongside some of Britain’s funniest celebrities for an wild outdoor adventure of a lifetime.

I come from a railway family I’ve had Eurostar cab rides you name it he pisses our community off because he’s using his disability to get famous not too mention all rail enthusiasts have been bullied and they still didn’t get rich and famous and we all have our own sob stories but never got famous that’s what makes the hobby genuine

There are some genuinely horrible and manipulative people. Many I know try to keep to themselves because the wider community can be very toxic and they only talk to those they trust and are chill with. People hate him because of how big Francis has gotten making outsiders known to the hobby, they like to throw stuff mainly because they don't see him as genuine when really francis is just another person who likes trains and that's ok. I see this mainly in the older generation folk who are not liked by the younger generation. But then again there are problems with the younger generation taking it too far as well.
Because other nerds can be cruel people. Especially when they’re angry that some kid with a GoPro on his head is so much more popular then they will ever be. Lots of nerdy guys are just the worst

@@TheWkc19 do the older trainspotters realize they are biting the hands that feed? Rail fan demographics are legit almost exclusively pensioners. Do they want their hobby gone within a couple decades when they're all pushing daisies? Any self aware hobby would kill to be famous on tiktok if it meant a whole new generation would embrace what they spent their twilight years embracing. All the ad money in the world couldn't buy their hobby something as earnest and positive as a youngster encouraging folks his age to come out about their passions. Even a decade ago this type of passion was non-existent for folks in their 20s. It was a hobby you ditched the second you got into secondary school because you'd be relentlessly bullied by everyone. In an era where youthful earnestness is the key to an interest flourishing online, these elder trainspotters need to get a grip or get ready for their hobby to be bankrupt and dead.

Hard to believe fellow trainspotters would not be grateful that an enthusiast like Francois has actually made what was once considered an ‘anorak’ pastime so interesting. I sense jealousy amongst a few of them. But lovely to see him warmly bid farewell at the end.

Francis, there are not enough trains IN THE WORLD to fit all of the people who absolutely love and adore you. Even if there were a few people who disliked you there, don't let that forget the MILLIONS, literal millions of people who's days and hearts you have lightened with your pure spirit. I love trains too - Im in Canada and wish there were more opportunities to enjoy them. You are truly in train paradise!

jesse's lovely. i remember at united, i waited outside to meet the players in the rain and he stopped for a good half an hour signing and taking photos with all of us. he was one of only two players who acknowledged us.

Francis lets his emotions flow so fluently, it really makes me think that letting your emotions out is the secret to a joyfull and happy life, thank you francis we all love you.
Francis seems like the type of person who is just genuinely nice and somehow stumbled onto social media. In a sea of shallow “influencers” it’s really nice to see a guy this genuine. Also Jesse Lingard, what another nice fellow in a sport where it seems like arrogance is rewarded. I hope both these guys keep being themselves!
Stumbled lol… much like most other social media stars this guy far from stumbled, he has rich parents that helped fund his rise to celebrity status and exploited his disability to get the sympathy along the way!! He is playing a character, the passion for trains may be real but a lot of it is exaggerated and created for views!!! Why do you think so many of the successful CZcamsrs nowadays aren’t the average kid with a camera type people like 10 years ago and are actually kids from privileged backgrounds? They bankroll the sub-bots and pay for favourable algorithms!!!! This guy is about as genuine as Keith Lemon!!! That’s just what we will see more and more of now with all the avenues available for people to create a celebrity from their own home studio without the need to go thru the old school media route!!! It’s no longer Simon Cowell or some big corporation manufacturing the stars it’s parents doing it with their own kids!! And the scary part is the kids all want it, go to any primary school in the country and ask the kids what they wanna be and 90% of them will say a CZcamsr…. And to think we used to wanna be astronauts and firemen!!!

The haters are elitist and self-loathing. Full of envy for a young guy who dared to take the community in a different direction and obtain a platform they themselves wish they had.
In no way does this reflect my opinions but I think the hate is mostly from jealousy of the fact he's the only properly recognised, famous trainspotter.

I work within LU and i like to to call them Rail Enthusiasts, But what you wrote about who & how the haters are was simply perfect. Francis is a Legend! and a thoroughly decent human being that just wants to be a part of his community. Judging by the end of the video not all of them are arseholes. And props to Jessie for also being a decent bloke. :P
This is sweet, as a kid who wanted to be a trainspotter but had parents push me away because "Liking trains is autistic" this honestly makes me happy.

You can tell Francis really loves trains. I know the feeling - I get that way with airplanes. There can be toxic people in every fandom and it brings you down sometimes, but you can't let them. Just love what you love and you'll attract the people that love the same things.

I only have 1 complaint about these videos. They are not long enough. If you're enthusiasm was a drug, it would be a class A. It's that genuine, powerful and infectious.
Francis is the definition of success, at least for myself. Taking a passion and making a living out of it. From small videos to writing a book and now his own series all while being so genuine and comforting his inner child. How can you not love this energy and him!

Francis you are a breath of fresh air and I love your enthusiasm for trains and railways. It’s a bug that loads of us enjoy and you show it in an unbelievable way. It’s like looking on Trip Advisor and despite there being 99 positive reviews we seem to remember the 1 negative about a hotel. 6ft 7 Geordie trucker here 😢 filling up at this gem of a human at the end of this video. He just wants to be accepted. There's zero ego here, zero harm, zero reason to be hating on him. He's living his life at his happiest and in the purest forms of joy. He's happy, and just showing us how happy he is. I'd have a serious problem with anyone who gave him any form of abuse. He's sure brought me joy just by watching him being so happy. In life I've learned one thing, sometimes the road you were born on is one of difficulty and tests. I searched long enough for peace of mind. Just to be happy. You know? Luke here has found his joy in life. I could hug him I'm so happy for him. Why can't we all just be happy for him?

The first video i ever saw for Francis was when he was at Brighton station seeing the Dick Mabbutt train and i genuinely thought it was just another meme video just messing about because of the funny name as well as thinking his enthusiasm was put on for the camera as well as the gopro thing too. But then when i watched more of his stuff, i realised it was nothing like that at all and he infact is a huge train enthusiast and his hobby and interest has led to him traveling to other places around the world, having his own book and getting his own mini series which is freaking awesome. So this guy is definitely one of a kind awesome

This has just absolutely made my day so much better.
Cool to see Warrington Bank Quay again. I lived near Warrington briefly between 1981 and 1983 as a teenager. It was from that station that I took an epic InterRail journey all the way to North Africa and back again in a month. This was in the days when France only had a couple of short TGV lines and all journeys had to be undertaken on basic slow trains (yup, probably an average speed of about 25mph). I wouldn't change that experience for anything.
Interailing was awesome. Thomas Cook railway guide in hand, anything was possible!
