- This time lapse was captured using the GoPro Hero 12 on the night of May 10, 2024 through the morning of May 11, 2024. The interval was 30 seconds and this time lapse was recorded all night from sunset to sunrise.

This solar storm on May 10-11, 2024 came in two waves overnight. The first wave was so intense I had issues with my electricity going out. The second wave in this time lapse was also stunning.

What settings did you use to capture this video?
I have a hero11 and all of my night lapses are coming out too dark
For the exposure variables I used ISO Min and Max of 800 and a shutter speed of 30 seconds.

@@GreatDayForAHike Amazing! Did you remove fisheye in Lightroom? I caught them here in Montreal too but was using Raw Therapee and the profiles for removing fisheye don't seem to work. I love Lightroom but gave it up since the monthly subscription was getting expensive. Maybe I'll have to re-subscribe...
@pss999 Yes, I manually removed the fisheye using Lightroom. There is a GoPro lens profile in Lightroom for as recently as the Hero 10 and that can be a good starting point for lens correction.

And thanks for the awesome tutorials, I only came across them this week and so just tried my first few time-lapses, with the Aurora one from Friday night being the first time I used photo mode. Hope to do some more this summer when I can get away from all the light pollution in the city!
