I bought one of the original Alesis SR-16 drum machines in early 2022. The Alesis SR-16 was my first drum machine, it's the next best thing to an Alesis HR-16. But it's cool that this drum machine is still being produced as it first came out in 1990. The second drum machine I bought shortly after the Alesis SR-16 is the Roland R-8 and that is also one of the best drum machines of all time. And I also have a Roland TR-505 which is an ideal cheaper alternative if you can't afford to or aren't willing fork out £400+ on a lofi PCM drum machine. I'm also thinking of buying Arturia Spark once again as I had just the software interface as part of V Collection which I bought on offer 10 years ago but this was a very neat all in one package that has pretty much any 70s or 80s drum machine you can think of, Spark 2 even has Physical modelling synthesis which sounds like fun to play around with.
You showed the Alesis SR-16 fir the number 4 spot. WHY can you not pronounce TASCAM? I think you need some editing skills pal. EVEN you listed info doesn't match some of the machines featured? Get off the drugs guys!

But I have been really lazy and therefore unable to use all its possibilities. I’m now learning how to use it. I’m trying to build oriental percussions. Any advice?
I love the multiple outputs...with effect pedals... You have the possibility to program Roland famous drum kits : 808, 909,, this IS a great thing.. do you use reverb and compression part ? Do you make your own drum kits ? I ve try volcas, Korg, and Roland drum machines... The alesis sr18 have, for me toi much bass fréquences.. so i put down the level of kick drum.. sorry, wait a minute please..
