Love it! This just may be my first Oris. Awesome. Thanks.
This one is a bit special I think Matthew
Impressive mechanics, love the bezel details, great dial.
I see it as a complete package for who can spot and afford this piece.
I've started leaving a link to my Facebook page in the top corner on the video around 10 sec in , its worth checking out Adrian 👍🏻
@@ClickSpringReview I would have joined it months ago but I do not have a Facebook account.
I've always wanted to actually handle one of these. I like how they designed it in a way that they can easily modify it and add a GMT to it and continue to innovate. There are quite a few variations of it now. I did get to handle the Propilot X and it was jawdropping in my opinion. I've owned quite a few Oris watches and I really like them as a brand and I think they offer a lot for the money when compared to their competitors in a similar price point.
Edit: I forgot to mention, I absolutely agree about the date window. I'm really not a fan of that position.
This is a model I really liked and a little different from the other models they do ' I'd be happy to have this in the collection or as your only watch 👍🏻
Great field watch and can't wait to see you checking out more Oris watches (aquis 400's, all the different 65 divers/editions).
I've just reviewed a Oris 5 day big Crown Cal 473 which will be out in a few weeks , I did review the 1st Gen 65 drive a year or so back
I've started leaving a link to my Facebook page in the top corner on the video around 10 sec in , its worth checking out matey
Hi Barry, sorry I'm late 😢. This looks good but is too big for me. All it needs now is a Remontoire to make it perfect! Have a good week my friend, and I look forward to the next one. Cheers, Bob 🍻
Remontoire mechanism now you talking they are very cool and not something you see very often Bob
The longer the power reserve, the smaller the balance wheel. I'm sure it's comprehensively covered in; The Practical Watch Escapement by George Daniels (Author).
But mostly the bigger mainspring and slower beat rate , The Pequignet manual royal is a case in point Michael
@@ClickSpringReview Yes, these are both consequences and no necessarily the reason. if you have time to web-search: In-Depth: Quantifying Performance and Trade-Offs in Movement Design 2020. 01. under the section: The Trade-Off. You will find a more in-depth explanation. Keep up the good work!
@@michaelhayward107 Cheers Micheal I’ll check it out and thanks for the info
@@ClickSpringReview 👍😇
How long does it take to wind from 0 to 10 days?
Can't remember Nenad but not that long at all I believe
It’s too big, too thick and the dial is a bit of a mess. And it takes about a day to fully wind the damn thing.
But for some reason I love it! Oris have become an increasingly impressive brand with some lovely offerings. Not sure what the price is on this but a querky, bold, impressive timepiece well suited for a bigger wrist. Mine is just over 8 inches and my daily is 44 so not a problem.
Thanks for the review, really unpretentious brand making some astonishing movements for their price category. Admirable
🤣🤣 This one brings out the teenager in use I think, as you say its a bit of a mess but you cant help liking it and want to know more ☺️
My unscientific observation is that watches run best at the top half(ish) of the power reserve.
Hi Sir a watch should at its best between 85% / 30% of it power reserve, thats when the power curve should at its flatnesses 👍🏻
they’re so nice but 5K is A LOT 😭😭😭 maybe one day though
I dare say there maybe a good discount to be had on this one
Did you mention price during the review? Maybe I missed it
Its in the description below Sir ps I also an Archer 👍🏻
@@ClickSpringReview awesome! What style do you shoot?
@@RobinhoodarrowsRHA Compound and reflex mostly , Mathew’s HTR and Obsession Bow , plus a good looking Striker Sports Longbow Sir what about yourself ?
Trad archer. Everything from 74" English longbow down to 54" Asiatic bows.
I used shoot English long bow ( well made in Scotland :) around 18 years ago but only for a year
I think that should be of not off on the thumbnail.
You maybe right there Garry 🤦🏻♂️
Ps forgot to say Garry I've started leaving a link to my Facebook page in the top corner on the video around 10 sec in , its worth checking out
