Fantastic summation! Very timely as I’ll be running UTMB CCC in six months and this will definitely inform my training until then. Cheers - MARK
Jealous! I’d love to do at least one of those UTMB week events.
Good luck! I'm hoping to do Grindstone.
just want to run the long trails in my area. great
Thanks this is super.
A lot of great information here, without the "fluff", presented with a logical structure that I really liked. Thank you for posting it. I'm 3months out from my 1st 50K trail race (eep!), lots to do!
Thanks. Three months is heaps of time! I think 50K is a great distance. Enough to be challenging, but not so much that you're going to hate your life choices by the end 😂.
Incredible overview Dr. Will! Amazing as always.
Thanks Marcus, I hope the training is going well!
JUST DOING IT TO FINISHING THE RACE AND GETTING A MEDAL AND A T SHIRT.
Bravo
love your accent bro.
Very nice. One of your best youtube videos. A lot of interesting information in a short time. If I ever decide to run an ultramarathon, I know who will be the coach 😀.
Look forward to hearing from you 😂
This is fantastic and just what I'm looking for. Thank you so much.
Glad it helped!
Incredibly informative video, thanks!
Appreciate the gift. All the best for your training 🏃🏼💨
I did a 13.1 m race last week, comfortably. In 23 weeks i want to do a 50 k. I plan to do my longest training run three weeks prior. How long should that longest training run be? Thanks...
probably still too early for me to embark. got to have lots of 42k in the bag before trying this one out
Not necessarily. I know a few people who skipped the marathon and went straight to the 50-kilometer trail. The trail can be less demanding than pounding the pavement for 20 miles every other weekend.
@@drwilloconnor thanks dr appreciate it
