    Voice over is best...can see smaller imperfections we don't see or feel while riding and talking. Excellent presentation.

    Such a talented pair. Such a honour to watch. He has difficulty with wanting to keep his right shoulder to the right. Even when you go left. You can see it a little in the symmetry of the muscling in the haunches and the part of the mane that wants to stay to the right instead of laying to the left. We call it a S curve in the neck. Sometimes your saddle is not in the middle of the back and this can affect him as he is so sensitive. This in no way is a criticism but the reality of the on going issues we all share with straightness. I see a very bright future for you both. ❤️

      I too have some issues of centering my saddle I assumed it was related to the curvature in my spine.

      First of all you both are truly amazing and gifted. Your riding it’s so sensitive and gentle the stallion looks 100% happy and calm. Work at the gym 😝 with a trainer, chiropractor for us both and PT, etc for rider so helpful to me. Anyways you both approach perfection thank you for sharing.

    Tommy, the curb chain in your intro to this video is very loose. Do you recommend this? Sometimes I believe not having it loose makes me rely on it too much and doesn’t discipline me to do enough with the snaffle. The disadvantage to it being tight is that many horses pull up their head as a reaction to pain.

    Love it! I agree with the comment below. Voice over is best! Love the precise critique of each movement. Really makes you appreciate what it takes to school a horse in the dressage discipline! Thank you! Great video! Love your calm voice and calm music in the background. It really helps the viewer to understand the aids and how you execute them!

    Genesis is truly an amazing horse! Not only stunning to look at but also very expressive in his movements and overall vibe! He looks like a real life "Barbie horse" 😍You are evolving and growing so much as a team!
    I always found the transition out of the piaff moving more forward again always the hardest to get fluent. I practiced that in hand a lot and eventually my horse would make that transition super good without a rider on his back.. But it took what felt like forever to get that transition good while riding him. What do you think is the hardest exercise to teach or perform very good while riding?

    Love your trainingsvideos, explanations are very "teachable" to apply in my own training, although I'm not a GP rider ☺. Maybe you can make a "how to" video on teaching a horse a half pass ?
    Thanks again for all the great insights 👌

    super interessante video. Ik dacht altijd dat de piaffe in stap was in plaats van draf. Maar wat ik me dan afvraag mij is geleerd dat een paard in de draf een zweefmoment heeft is dat in de piaffe ook?

    • @Begijnhoeve_official
      @Begijnhoeve_official  Před 2 lety +2

      Piaffe is een draf beweging op de plaats. Passage is een verheven draf. In principe is er in de piaffe een ander ritme dan in de passage. Hoewel je in piaffe ook een groter zweefmoment kunt hebben mag het eigenlijk nooit zoals het ritme van de passage zijn!
