- Preparations for the house renovation continued. This time we had a seismic evaluation of the main house and a visit from the plumbing contractor.
We borrowed a backhoe, we moved the compost yard. And out of the compost came... tons of ＊＊＊＊＊!
Over the weekend, we went to see a festival that takes place only once every 7 years in south Nagano.
And what a highlight it was!

ベトナムでは、ココナッツのおが屑の中にカブト虫に産卵させて、ココナッツのおが屑だけで養殖させたカブト虫の幼虫を食べる文化があり、ハノイとホーチミンで私も生きたままその幼虫をヌクマムにつけて数匹食べましたが、美味しかったです。
が、もう一度はないかな。。w
今年は私も中古のバックホーを頑張って買いたいなーと思ってます。
今年も奥さんの謎の踊りを見れて幸せです💕
これから自分の家をリノベーションするようなワクワク感で観ています。
それにしても毎回、『音』が綺麗な事に感動します。

They seem to go out of their way to protect their privacy. With good reason I'm sure. I like the format they have. It's more about story and what actual life is like in the Japanese countryside. The plants, animals, equipment and all the work involved. We should respect their privacy.

@@dadjoy2609 I get it. Social media and all. But my thing is if they go through such efforts cover their faces and edit their videos to maintain some bit of anonymity. Why even ask?!? Let alone the semi creepy vibe of asking to see another man's wife. Albeit "properly." Again I get it. You want to see what you are unable to. We've all been there. Don't seek to have them remove the subtle nuance that makes their videos so great. No offence intended bruv🇺🇲✌🇬🇧

といっても50年以上前の話ですがこの祭りの事はきいたことも無かったです、今は京都在住ですが従妹が研材。

Not available on Amazon in the US, so I ordered it at a bookstore with the help of a friend in Japan. The video repeatedly reminds that "Amazon" is out of stock, please go to the bookstore to buy it!

娘が産まれた地
なつかしい
実家の畳を畑の隅に野積みしていたら、同じようにウジャウジャとカブトの幼虫がいました。昔の畳は全て天然素材で出来ていたので、野積みでも土に帰ったのでしょうね。幼虫は取り放題でしたが、そのまま放置。田舎に慣れ過ぎていたため、カブトは珍しくなかったので。
その後、都会のデパートでカブトが高値で売られていて驚愕でした。幼虫までお金になるとは！あの幼虫を売ればよかったと、子どもながら後悔したのは懐かしい思い出です。
I have followed since episode one and seen the overwhelming amount of remains from earlier lives that you have respectfully sorted. Also the sad state of maintenance you have patiently rectified and all the rubbish you have removed. A gargantuan task taken care of by a brave young couple. I sincerely wish that your application for government funding comes through successfully and your future plans comes to fruition. 子供の時には子獅子というものもがあり、大人の獅子と一緒に同行して獅子舞をしてました。

こんばんは🌆７年に一度のお祭りがあったんですね🤭コロナ禍早くも３年目を迎え，全国のお祭り行事など中止になる中，今年は流石にあちらこちらのお祭りが開催される様で，今まで以上に、感染防止を行った上で伝統的な催しなど拝見出来たら嬉しいですね😆

Just an idea, you have plenty of natural running water coming out of the hillside, how about channelling it all into one area the lowest spot, dig the low spot out and make a pond to keep fish in for food or pleasure
