    @iingriidlove03 LOL! Try spending loads of time with them, and once they trust you, hand feed them seeds, like those millets. They really like those :3 and as they're on your hand they can eat it. :D

    Damn I want a budgie. I like my house cold in the winter though. It would never survive.

    • @bobbeorn
      @bobbeorn Před 9 lety

      ardalla535 What do you mean by cold? My house is never warmer than 16 oC in winter- that's if i do put heating on so it is often colder and my boy doesn't mind. Rarely even fluffs up for warmth. I believe it is just drafts that are bad for them. Look at aviary birds that are out all year.

    Not something to be proud mutilating the wings of the birds to fly they can not!

  • @henripoolakese6573
    @henripoolakese6573 Před 8 lety +1

    he/she cutted the wings off

    • @theanimallover675
      @theanimallover675 Před 8 lety

      Yes indeed the first time that i look as this on youtube.i hate it when they cut the wings. a parakeet/budgie can also do some thing or learn thing whitout cutted wings . WHY ? it's not so good and Please let them Fly and be a Happy Budgie/Parakeet( this one is for the Owner of the 2 Parakeets ) !!!!! they can't fly now but they need it that they Can Fly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • @KeianLocke
      @KeianLocke Před 7 lety

      the wings are still intact they can fly enough to get around a house/cage/room. they clip ONLY A FEW FEATHERS (not entire wings) for most birds so they dont go full speed into walls/glass/etc. and end up injuring themselves.
      in other words "super fast crash with wings indoors"

    • @theanimallover675
      @theanimallover675 Před 7 lety

      You Can Lean this to Them from Young Age ,Mine Never Fly to Glass or Whatever. I lean this with Everything Closed and also I have something by my glass windows that they know now they don't fly agaist this.and learn them first to fly at a good time It helped a lot ,and they have the Times of theyre live's and also Hearing the Noice they make is perfect Very happy !!!!!

    • @KeianLocke
      @KeianLocke Před 7 lety

      birds with clipped feathers can also be happy fyi. The process also doesn't hurt them because the part of the feathers clipped do not have any nerves or blood vessels. the feathers can also grow back. guess what I'm saying is there isn't anything wrong with clipping feathers.
      also what do u mean "learn them first to fly at a good time"? i don't really think there is a good or bad time to teach birds to fly nor can you teach them to fly? you also cannot teach birds not to fly into mirrors or glass. unfortunately they don't understand the concept. yes you can cover these up but if they do decide to fly around in a small room they'll have a difficult time slowing down due to the excess velocity that they have so flying into walls is still a plausible thing. i know this because I've had budgies and let their feathers grow out and they flew into the walls.
