  • This is every issue I have on my 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE.
I decided to cancel my Ford Maverick and buy this car from Tri County Toyota in Royersford Pennsylvania three months ago, so far I put 6,000 miles on it already.
If your cross shopping this worth the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Mazda3, Kia Forte, Volkswagen Jetta, Nissan Sentra, Tesla Model 3, or Subaru Impreza I hope this helps.

Just reset the infotainment system. Fixed in seconds. Vacuum the back seat. Use a seat belt slug. Buy a spare tire for $100. Ceramic coat has NOTHING to do with damage or debris strike. You have a physical key and ignition, that is clearly not keyless entry and remote start. On the base model LE that is an OPTIONED package with convenience package and is only included on SE and XSE.
Edit: I fixed the seatbelt warnings with $1.79 pair of seat belt extensions from China. AliExpress had them at my house in a week. Fixed that for good. An excellent fix under $2.

The Corolla is a great daily driver. I’m actually purchasing one next year. My daughter had a 2009 no issues with over 100k miles $20 would fill it up. If you actually clean the car out that would take care of the dirt. You have a base model the radio/speakers are that of the base model. Outside of the small issues great car will last a long time.

That’s good to hear! It very rare I hear anyone having issues with them! My issue with the dirt is if it get in the holes it could be hard to get out and you can’t really remove the rear seat because the battery is there, I just don’t understand why they over engineered the child anchors and it’s worse then other cars.

I cannot recommend the new corolla enough. I have a 2023 SE Hybrid AWD on order, but I have driven a few 2023s already and they are amazing cars. The wait time is a real bummer, since it could be anywhere between 4 months to 14 months. I was originally told 6 months for my wait time when I ordered in late march of this year, but now it should be here by late July or early August which would mean I would only be waiting for 4-5 months.

The model Corolla you have is for people who need a reliable car that will take them places. You care to much about how things look and sound. If you want a better car with appearance and better quality you shouldn’t have gotten a Corolla. You also need to maintenance your back seats. People who don’t have anyone in the back seats all the time won’t have to deal with dirty seats. This car is perfect for single riders

Sorry to hear that you have such a horrible experience with the dealer and Toyota. Remote start was one of the key feature that I looked for (warm it up in the winter, cool it down in the summer before I get in) and I had the dealer demo that on the 2024 Corrolla Hybrid SE model before I committed to buying as I originally thought it was only available for the XLE model.
I also ended up putting a ceramic coat on my car. $35 for a bottle from Amazon, but my goal was to keep it shiny and easy to clean. It mostly does the job (still need to wash it 2x a month) but I still need to do it for the windows (I kind of avoid it as I heard people had seen streak marks).

Thanks for the video. I like your video editing work. So do you recommend removing all the sirusxm stations from my favorites before the subscription expires? I don’t plan on renewing after the trial ends. The remote connect is a nice feature and should be available on your Corolla if the manufacturer says it’s available. But it’s another profit gouge for Toyota as it’s an annual subscription fee. Honestly, I rather forgo the remote connect and have a simple “walk away auto-lock” that Honda and other manufacturers would give you but Toyota refuses to put in their vehicles. Speaking of Honda, the lane keep assist (auto steering assist) is so much better than in Toyota. For one you don’t need to have dynamic radar cruise engaged for to come on and second, it’s much more effective. With Toyota’s even with steering assist, there’s not enough steering wheel movement and it would go over the lanes from time to time.

Some of the statements you made about your dealership tells me the dealer is not reasonable and not a good dealer. No dealer is allowed to require you to get ceramic coating. My son bought a brand new Impreza a year ago and the dealer tried to require this too. Sad part is my son works for a high end detail shop and does ceramic coating that is far superior to the stuff dealers install. That being said, the claim the dealer made that a ceramic coating on your windshield will prevent chips is very misleading. No coating whatsoever will prevent chips to glass or paint. All the coating does is make it so the water and grime will come off easier amkr it so your wipers don't work as hard (please note that when washing your car with a ceramic coating, you must dry it to prevent water spotting). Sorry that the dealer did this to you. This is one of those things that has brought a very bad rep to dealerships in recent years (in addition to major markups to prices of cars)

Moreover, it was a cheap car in every sense of the word. Mine severely understeered and was riding very stiff, noisy interior, wind noise from the doors on the highway, noisy engine (sounded like a tractor at idle from brand new), and overall crappy car. The only things going for it were the relatively good fuel economy and low maintenance costs. But everything else was a disappointment. Nevermore a Corolla for me.
