Waterfalls you will get in panjim. You have to go nowhere.come to panjim n porvorim for waterfall. Thanks to govt n its world class development of BJP.

It's not flooding because original floodplain of Mandovi estuary reached steps of Alto de conception and Alto de guimares and only with high freshwater flow this happens as rivers all over the world behave, the problems in Panaji have increased because of beautification fad where every lawn, earthen lane, grassy area is concretized or covered by tiles or asphalted thus converting original water soaking areas into impervious area. The natural ratio for any town is 50:50 (pervious: impervious). Here only courtyard of Massano de Amorim, the old garden near church square, Azad maidan, Police ground inside GP HQ are only rainwater soaking area with even Azad maidan now made 30 percent impervious! People forget these issues after September every year. As Microbiologist I need to warn all not to walk through such water due to danger of getting Leptospirosis as Panaji has thousands of rats which harbour this bacteia and their excreta gets mixed with rainwater and few hundred cells can enter through damaged skin and cause this disease to be cured with antibiotics!!
