Saw Nazareth once on Saturday, June19, 1977 at Anaheim Stadium in Ca. The line-up was from the beginning - Sha Na Na, Nazareth, The Tubes, The Kinks, and Alice Cooper. What a show! Oh, to be seventeen again!
I have that on a DVD but for some reason they don't show The kinks . They show about three songs by every band except the kinks . Rod Stewart was backstage. They showed him walking around in the food area. You are so lucky to be at that great show 😊
I have known and loved this song for 50 years even though I'm not a mad heavy rock fan. If Nazareth had produced a string of hits as good as this they could have given Zeppelin a run for their money!
I saw Nazareth in Pensacola Florida back in about the year 2000 downtown streets for blocked off and it was probably one of the best times we had next to seeing bachman Turner overdrive downtown Pensacola as well when we used to celebrate springfest but the last 20 years have been nothing but hell on the world so be it God bless us and the universe
The most underestimated band of the 70s and I have never understood why.. I loved the album Rampant and almost 50 years after, I still listen it (I'm 65).. I saw them live in 1973 Carlisle Tecnical college (they weren't famous then but they were fantastic).
I'm with you brother, I saw Nazareth four times in the 70s rampant was always one of my favorite albums also, the first two times I saw them they were the backup band I can't remember whoever headlined, I went to see them. All shows were excellent
Awesome live performance by the boys! I love Manny's raw playing here. One of the greatest live bands ever. I saw them in 1977 opening for Aerosmith in St. Louis. 🎸
OMG. Born To Love is kick ass!! Love Darrell Sweet's drumming. Such an overlooked drummer and taken far too soon :-( I still listen to all these songs regularly and was lucky enough to see them live twice around this time. Once with Zal Cleminson during his short time with the band. Saw them once again during the 00's as well. Great post and brought back so many memories. Every song a stone cold winner. Sounds great. Thank you so much
