BMW E23 735i 1985 First start in 10 years

I recently got my 85 735 I going cleaned idle control valve and new plugs made a big difference

Mine will be the same , soon first start in 10 years as i just buy 85 e23 b10 alpina.

Got one similar but only goes in reverse all of a sudden overnight. Could it be a cable in the shifter?
