Oh Fuck yeah. I've been waiting for new music from these guys. This is one of the few bands of whom I enjoy every era. From their depressive beginnings to their progressive modern output. If that makes me a hipster, that's totally a-ok with me.
Totally agree with you. As a musician, it gets boring playing the same kind of music for years and years. Even Burzum is currently playing music under a different genre (some kind of ambient folk).

I think that nowadays this is the best music label, many diversity and quality. The song is really good, that solo and that deep acoustic and cymbals part was magic, and the main riff is delicious. Let's see soon the full album. This band always give us some great experiences. Waiting for another song before Nov 24!

Shining peaked with Halmstad they'll never top it, that album perfectly defined the concept behind Shining. It's the most exhausting and depressing album I've ever heard.
I like Halmstad but it's a little overrated in my opinion, for me their ultimate masterpiece is VII: Född Förlorare.

I know Shining gets quite a lot of shit , for various reasons, but I think the people who give them shit have missed one thing. Shining consists of very talented musicians and the music is almost always very well-written. Take "For the God Below" for example.
Id remove that 'almost'. Theyre always awesome. And live they are incredible. Never shambolic. Professionals who destroy at every show.
