- Here's a recap of all the songs that competed for Poland in Eurovision Song Contest from 1994 to 2022. Please, enjoy!
Poland has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 24 times since its debut in 1994. Although Poland did not become a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) until 1993, earlier contests had often been broadcast on Telewizja Polska (TVP), the Polish broadcaster.
Poland's debut in the contest in 1994 remains its most successful entry, with Edyta Górniak finishing second. This remains Poland's only top five result in the contest. The country reached the top ten for the second time with Ich Troje finishing seventh in 2003. Poland then failed to qualify from the semi-finals in six out of seven years between 2005 and 2011, before withdrawing from the contest in 2012. Since returning in 2014, Poland had qualified for the final for four consecutive years (2014-2017), achieving a third top ten finish in 2016, with Michał Szpak finishing eighth. The country failed to qualify three contests in a row (2018, 2019, and 2021), a streak that ended with Ochman finishing 12th in 2022.

I often think that if Poland had the opportunity to participate in Eurovision in the 70s and 80s, we would have won at least once. We had great singers and bands back then.
We sure did. It sucks that poland hasn't had a victory yet. I would be so proud if they ever did (I'm polish btw.) They are so underated or I should say We are underated 🇵🇱❤ hopefully one day the trophy will held by a polish artist

1995 remains my second favorite entry EVER. What a masterpiece. So sad it didnt place well

The singer, Justyna Steczkowska, had successful career in Poland after Eurovision. Her 1st album from 1996, Dziewczyna Szamana, became quite a classic and some of the songs still get some airplay here. If you liked this one song, you should definitely check it out.

I'm happy to see them back in the final after 5 years, Ochman definitely deserved top 10! But my favorite entry of theirs is still Flashlight! Such an underrated gem!

I agree .I also think fire of love should have qualified.. Ochman should have finished higher . beautiful voice .my favourite though is color of your life .amazing performance from Michael Szpak and the televote was off the chart .

It's so sad to see that Poland has gotten such bad placements, outside of their debut and a few other exceptions. Kind of underrated in my opinion.
Jury and viewers don`t like us unfortunately.
@@pawerzonca9447 I think that only jury hate us. In 2016 Michał had 3th in televoting, so i think that if we send a good song, the viewers vote for us. I'm sure that even if we send Adele the jury still will give us 0 points :(

Everybody talks about UK and Spain' blowing up in Eurovision 2022 (compared to 2021), but nobody talks about how Poland went from song like "The Ride" to song like "River" only in one year!

Their 1994-1997 era is just unsurmountable, one of the strongest streaks in Eurovision of all time, and even more impressive as a debut country from the East that had little to no idea what to do in a Western contest. All of them are in my top 5 of their respective years.
oh, super. Those years my country was really trying to give our best. True artists, but they werent recognized, so Poland gave up and directed other ways. Well, now I know, Poland is politically underrated, although, of course, a lot of our entries (after 90s) were terrible. Ok, so you have a good taste in music.

Have not freak out. It's a good suggestion, yes. But to win? No. But it is appreciated that this year Poland has finally since 94. They have taken the festival seriously. At least this year they have sent a singer who knows how to sing and not that Rafal.

@Julia Poland I know his songs are original - as I wrote 'new' - published not before September. I don't agree with you as for the Contest. Recently the level has risen thanks to the jury. A good example can be Jamala's song.

Krystian is 3rd of Eurovision Polish entries for all times by points, after really great songs by Edyta Górniak and Michał Szpak. Very good result, as for me. Only disappointed with that low place. Personally I think that he deserved to be in top 5 or even win (was hoping for win, but...), at least he had to be in top 10 for sure, but not on 12th place. Angelic voice, catchy song and interesting performance.

Generally speaking: Poland can’t into Eurovision.
There were significant (IMO) representatives in:
- 1994 Edyta Górniak
- 1995 Justyna Steczkowska (although she has better songs)
- 2003 Ich Troje
- 2014 Donatan&Cleo
- 2016 Michał Szpak
- 2019 Tuja (Poland sent somebody singing in traditional Polish style and unfortunately this band didn’t qualify. Such a shame for me especially when I realise that in 2022 won Ukrainian band singing also in traditional for Ukraine style 😢 We should share our cultures during ESC bc it’s a great way to do so)
- 2020 Alicia (Personally I’m sure that with this song Poland could go as high as with Michał Szpak. This girl has amazing deep voice)
- 2022 Ochman (Again, such a wonderful voice yet not appreciated)

Właściwie to miała, zaśpiewała swoją piosenkę na Eurowizji Junior.
Ja wiem że to nie to samo, ale tak właściwie to jakby na to nie patrzeć, Polska była jedynym krajem którego reprezentant z Eurowizji 2020, zaśpiewał swoją piosenkę na Eurowizji :D (Junior, ale wciąż, i też z 2020)
Oczywiście to nie to samo co gdyby mogła zaśpiewać swoją piosenkę na dorosłej eurowizji, ale mamy się czym chwalić xD

I saw Edyta Gornak in a musical on Broadway called Metro. She was fabulous but the show wasn't and it closed after running just a few weeks.

Pobre Ochmann. Su canción era una joya.
Y duele más cuando luego de ver su cancion en ESC, revisas lo que el jurado de la Televisora Polaca (y resalto esto porque tanto a los Polacos como a fans del extranjero, incluida yo, querían algo mejor y los jurados les fumaron epicamente en sus narices 😒) escogió para este año como representante de Polonia.
Literal, a este paso solo salen ganando para la Junior, y eso que en la Junior se intentan esforzar algo...
Aż sie dziwię że TVP nie hejtuje Ich Troje za ich piosenkę.
