- Boston market ride share is different than the rest cities in the US, Boston market has been paid better before and now, the new settlement is not gain to old experiences driver in Boston.
Only thing that will work with these shysters is full transparency, with a per mile rate and per minute rate.

I drive further out west. This is actually a much better deal than what ive seen in the fitchburg/leominster area over the past few months. Im all for it. Its a step in the right direction
$32.50 per active hour sucks. It works out to only 53 cents per active minute. Would any of you accept a 20 minute ride for only $10.60? Do any of you think that driving non-stop for one hour @$32.50 is good pay? Do the math and you'll see how much of a scam this is.
Uber and Lyft will mostly pay the minimum upfront fare. Drivers will have to cherry pick to average more.
@@tonyLee-rw3cv Uber will make sure there's virtually no cherries to pick. The bi-weekly supplement payments will encourage the ants to accept terrible offers. This deal is a huge win for Uber and a huge loss for the drivers.
20 minute ride for $10 is double what we get paid in Florida - I'd take that ride in a heartbeat.
I would be happy with that rate in LA we get 7 dollars for 20 minutes of non stop driving so save your tears.

You wont make $32.50 per hour, you get paid only when in route and drop off, if you sit and cancel rides for an hour, you get no pay that hour... you have to be driving fares to get paid. so you could be on the road for 10 hours, only drive 6.5 hours, at that rate u lose money

They should be paying in Massachusetts between $1.75 to $2.00 per millage at least.
More like 2.20 a mile. That's the equivalent of what I was making 15 years ago.
I was making 1300 a week when I drove for Lyft in 2019...that was more than fine.....in Boston
I very much agree with you, the same thing happens here in New York City, drivers are not making the minimum pay and are being locked out all day long.
It’s slow because it’s summer and you don’t know how much you make until you get the 2 week bulk payment. If you accept the rides you will get paid more later.

You are 100% correct that on long trips $32.50 is a bad deal, but not because $32.50 minimum for your active hour is bad, but because you have a return trip that pays $0. On long trips unless you find a return trip your money is half. $16.25/hour before expenses is garbage. Decline long trips, until they start paying for the return trip.

Here in Tampa fl I'd NEVER see trips that pay out that much for that little mileage. But maybe cost of living makes the offers pay more? Or is it the over saturation of Cuban drivers here in Tanpa that take anything they see pop up on the screen that makes it less here ? $7.68 for 8 miles is typical in Tampa market. At the airport waiting lot it's 98% Cubans that can't speak English that sit around. Maybe the 2 step background in Mass make it harder for illegal immigrants.

It's almost good but do the quick math and be honest about dead time between rides and you should aim for yes $2 per mile and maybe $1 per minute because if you don't once you add expenses and dead time then you're "OUT" there working for $10 to $15 per hour or less than fastfood work if you take all rides....

Boston is not the headquarters for Amazon and Microsoft. Aren't they in Seattle? I think you meant there are many Amazon warehouses. Sure Amazon has warehouses in at least half of the states in the country.
Side not delivery drivers should get $2 per delivered packages unless multiple packages per house. They can easily make an extra 300 to 700 a day just from that alone. Make it a mandatory tax that the customer pays.

We don’t need no bachelors degree. We need car, phone with internet, car insurance, INT inspections, and the gas to get the car running daily so I suggest you get in the road try it then when you have one of those days where you spend $12 gas and hour and made $12.80 you will understand

I've been driving for Uber&lyft for 7 years and i disagree with what your saying because is the minimum of 32.50 that you going to make not all the time i encourage you to read everything over and you'll see that is the best deal
