    I have a TS Mini, Rat 2, and TC Electronic Spark Mini. The Spark Mini always comes at the end of my Distortion/Overdrive/Boost section. Still experimenting with pedal order, but use Orange amps. Pretty sure whatever sound I get out of it, that combo will sound amazing, but still finding my perfect tone, especially since I just outfitted my Les Paul with a Super Distortion in the Bridge and will be dropping in a Super 2 for the neck position, which will push the amp as well.

    Was the tube screamer in the effects loop of each amp or was it guitar>TS>Front end of the amp?
    And with something like the tube screamer - what adjustments have to be made depending on if you're running it in the effects loop vs into the front?
    There are still lots of us out there with low/mid range amps that lack an effects loop and would need to know if the TS still works as advertised.

    • @anomalousresult
      @anomalousresult Před 3 lety +3

      Distortion effects should generally be placed between the guitar and amp input, otherwise it's not pushing the preamp valves at all. That is almost certainly the setup he had.

    • @professorpedropontes4402
      @professorpedropontes4402 Před rokem +1

      Hey Alan, I have found that putting the TS after the distortion pedal gives best results for leads. The reason being, you need the extra volume, and that only happens with the TS after your RAT.
      I think you’ve got a killer combo there. I hope you haven’t given it up by now. Do as I say and you will be just fine. I’ve done that myself.

    Sort of a noob here, I have a Fender Princeton Reverb, a special edition model with a 12 inch speaker, I cant get it dirty up like this, even with my TS808. I notice in the video that the amp is ALREADY dirty and the TS seems to just sort of enhance the dirt that is already there. Can this pedal make my amp (which I'm told is a great pedal platform) go from clean distorted like this? Or does it need to already have a dirty channel? I'm so confused, and I tried to follow the lesson but he goes so fast lol.

    • @professorpedropontes4402
