Akaso Brave 7 Action Camera vs GoPro Classic Session 4

- The GoPro Session 4 has been my go to camera for years because of its ease of use, compact size and quality capture. The Akaso Brave 7 Action Camera is a relatively new action camera and in this video I use it as I would use the GoPro to capture on bike cycling footage and let you know how they compare.

Outstanding presentation, great flow and precise information ... and all without useless muzak.. Totall winner for me !
Wow, thanks for the great review! Totally new in this, so your assessment was really a helpful start with concise detailed comparisons. Nice conclusion too.
Great review, confirmed my research on this device and others for the $$. Was a little concerned on what the features say and when actually used. Get mine in a couple of days and seeing your actual footage/sound and review was very helpful. Thank you! I feel better about my purchase... 1st action style camera.
Great Review. Thank You
Excellent Job. Thanks so much.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice honest review, thanks!
Thank you! Glad you liked it👍🏾
Great review thanks!
Thank you for watching!
Great video, just stumbled across your channel and subscribed.
Out of interest, how do you get such good footage when the video is uploaded to CZcams ? My off the camera footage is very nice, but once uploaded to CZcams the action footage appears very "blocky" and all crispness is gone.
Hi there! Thank you for watching and subscribing.
I don't do anything specific. I do upload videos that are at a minimum 1080k by 60fps. Hope that helps👍🏾
I just got the Brave 7LE, my first action cam,did alot of research the past week, was lookin at buyin the GoPro 10 &11 BUT the heat problems make me nervous, now I heard they are coming out with the GoPro 12 this september so hopefully they fix the heat issue with all their cameras, gonna go out on the roadbike with the Akaso & later on the sportbike ,I also got the ext. mic also the 7LE u can flip the screen & it comes with a wrist remote.. just an update,I got a deal on a new Gopro 11 so Ill compare the 2 next week
Nice to know about the LE. Thanks for sharing👍🏾
The overheating issue has something to do with no airflow. If you’re using for biking? Then there should be enough airflow going over it.
What’s battery life like with the Brave 7? I use the same GoPro Hero Session 4 you use to record my rides. I get about 80-90 minutes of video with the settings I set. I also carry a second Hero Session 4 in my jersey pocket to use once the first dies (in case the ride goes longer than an hour & a half).
Hi there, thanks for watching. About the same. At 2k 60 I go right at 90 minutes
I find that a lot of these budget cams end up having over-processes’ed video with heavy sharpening as well. Hard to find the balance of good priced and quality/features. I love the DJI action cam but they have a focus issue they still need to address. Until you made this I forgot that I had it still.
Thanks for watching Abel. Agreed on the DJI. Mine is on the sidelines
There is no waterproof case included for Akaso?
Great video, thanks for sharing! I have a couple of quick questions. I just recently received this camera, and Prime Day made it a great deal. I’ve noticed the mounting tabs on the frame are a little tight for some GoPro mounts, and didn’t work for my under mount/ out front Wahoo mounts. Which mount do you use? Also, have you found a way to sync video to a fit files so you can use a speed widget in videos like you can with GoPro or Garmin cameras? Again, excellent review! I just subscribed to your channel!
Hi there. My mounting fingers are from my garmin and I just tightened them up a lot.
I use Garmin Virb to add overlays to all my videos. Thanks for watching and the sub 👍🏾
The Session 4 seems amazing. I wish I had bought 2-3 Sessions 4 or 5. The comparison of the Session to this camera didn’t seem fair, but it sort of is fair. I get the budget, so you can’t pound it. A few people in my club are running the Instant360s with great success. I wonder if they would reach out with a pimp?
Thanks for watching!
Hey Mr. Scott is there any chance you could do a video about the benefits of training or just riding with a (weighted vest)? I only ask cause I'm thinking about investing in a weighted vest and wanted to know the opinion from an expert rider like yourself!
Hey Danny. Thanks for the suggestion. Not something I've thought of, but will certainly look into it
What cameras have battery life long enough for a 6 hr ride and video good enough to capture clear license plates?
I'm not sure about that. Camera settings can be stretched out by lowering the settings. But I don't know about 6 hours
Most cheaper action cams narrow the FOV when EIS is turned on.
Luis... I'm not understanding the upside down feature. I have an Akaso 7 LE and it automatically adjusts.
Could be something they changed. But the brave 7 doesn't flip.
Thanks... it is a very important consideration.@@thegoodwheel
12:15 looks trippy 😂
