I've got bout 250 of those right now. I only break open the heavier ones with the transformers. I get a pickup truck bed load of them with the wire. Every couple of weeks.
Wow!! For that kind of "regular" input, you can set aside a table dedicated to process them. You are a blessed man to get your hands on such huge quantity of copper.
I like your "How To" videos. I will keep my eye open for the heavy Adapters.
I scrap those by cutting wire throw in adapters w/ nowire barrel when I have a Gaylord of them they go in for 20 cents a pound with other better ewaste. Easy peasy.
The three pinned plug is from the uk and the plastic part is a safety future.so kids can't put objects into the electric socket.👍
A long time back I remember ewaste ben saying any adoptor above 6v is considered as transformers. However looking at this video, I realize this stripping is worth its money. For short time with little effort, you get copper, brass and sheet. A nice video.
I like the chunky square ones with the single transformer. The low grade board ones I might take off the smaller ones and put them with the motors and transformers I don’t take apart.
Love scrapping these 👍🏼 lots of goodies

Stripping Adapters for Transformers and stripping Transformers for Copper-Copper using that Machete - wow - that works so very well - You told us about a Machete many Times and now we can see how easy it is ! You even got some nice Brass - it all adds up ! Thank You also for Your Explanations ! Canada should have these Metal Recycling Places to extract Copper - Alu - S/S - Gold - Silver etc,etc - why always China - why cant we do it in our own Countries ! We know the Answer - but don't want to get Political ! Canada and Australia and other Countries send Medical Wastes included in the Recycling Containers !!!! Yes 1/2 Pound is 1/2 Pound and Your Copper Container is filling up - we love Your Sessions and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
The answer you are looking for your question have to do with your culture. Idiosyncratic reasons. White people tend to think big and recycling it's not in theirs best interest. indeed you recycle but no a considerable scale or thing that you consider worthy. For instance here in NY a considerable amount of aluminum cans go to waste.. I have seen it, canned food like spam, sausage, soda, beer cans going to landfields...

Hi Phil Very interesting vid.Enjoyed it very much.Keep up the good work.Thx
Definitely adds up, time consuming tho, nice information phill
Great video!!!
Good job x
Cheers buddy if ya find those laptop chargers with the cord intact, they will sell on eBay or marketplace for a quick 20 for sure. I just got in from a crappy load headed out for more vid to come in am! 🍻
Or even more. Many clients I had while working IT jobs used to want those after they lost them from oddball equipment. The harder to find the more they will pay. Laptop cords with those types of things cost a lot new to replace.
good job thanks
cheers from Toronto!!thanks for the video for taking the transformers apart!! i needed someone to show this..and a Canadian!!! eh! LMAO!
If you take the block and put it in the vise right below the seem and crank, it will pop like a lid

@@CanadianTreasureHunter 🤣I know it is. I meant for some kind of proper disposable. I have bunch of these case just sitting in my place I don't know what to do and dont want just throw it in the trash can. I will keep digging for info about Thanks anyway for your response.
👍🇰🇼❤️
i have about 200 of them to strip
👍👍🙂🇨🇦🔨🪓🧲
For the time it took you to do that, you could have spent the same time striping microwave or larger transformers, and actually made some money!
If i remove the plastic case I get right now 81 Cents a pound or 8 Cents as is
I'm sorry, but you tried to justify the money you were getting for the effort. Let's see, $2 Canadian for a video that took approximately 18 minutes. This is nowhere close to minimum wage in the U.S. I'd look for something else. Frankly, I'd take the transformers as they are and sell them without breaking them apart.
Also, the time spent breaking off the little brass pins doesn't seem to be worth it or even close. It takes a whole lot of them to even get a single pound worth. I've noticed many videos where the author says "it all adds up". But, I suggest to revising that to "it all adds up to a VERY SMALL AMOUNT of money for the time spent." If you are doing this as a hobby and don't care how much you make, have at it. If you want to be paid fairly for your time and car expenses, I'd absolutely pass on much of this.
Something that could probably be worth the time to take apart is Romex wire to remove the bare bright copper. (You want to check ahead of time to make sure that scrap yards won't require you to have a business license to sell bare bright copper.) That I feel would pay much more per hour than taking apart adapters/transformers.
Good luck to all in their future scrapping endeavors. Thanks for taking the time to make this CZcams video!
If I sell the adapters to the scrap yard they only pay 7.5 Cents or open them up & Get 50 to 62 Cents per pound for them, Romex is not worth taking apart in large amounts
I have always thought that they were worth the effort to clean them but I sit on my copper and brass until the price is right thank you for sharing this with us six stars brother
