One-Step Brakings are implemented on 5 C151As on 4 May 2024. The sets are 551/552, 555/556 and 565/566 (NSL) 507/508, 567/568 (EWL). This train was running on T124 for the day. The feeling of KSFA with One-Step Braking is tremendous as the 2-Step Brakings for this train is very slow.

Wow this is my first time seeing A C151A Doing a one step braking when approaching the station on the entire channel! I like this!

Seems like SMRT seems to be finally making this OSB feature fair for all the KSFs. Also in several weeks' time over two years on from its birth from manufacturing and almost a year after the official debut 801/802 will be initiating the rolling out of our next 10 R151s as the prototype and oldest of them all after 857/858 rounded off April with a nice number of those trains now in service. At the same time KHIs are continuing to have their turn on NSL, including 089/090 that made a comeback to spotters on NSL and 073/074 as well. Plus 115/116 has been setting stickiness on that line

057/058 also 'stuck' on the NSL currently just like the earlier 005/006 which is now on EWL

Honestly, this reminded me of last year, where 521/522 had 1-step braking!

Yes, I agree! The 2-step braking of these trains are much slower than those of the non-KSF trains! Even though the retiring non-KSF trains have 2-step braking, they have a longer coasting brake, which makes the 2-step braking process faster.

C151C CT251 use a newer type of brake sounds different from all other trains from outside

So will this mean all C151A trains will have one-step brakes permanently from next week onwards? That will relief most commuters especially peak hours using this model then

Its a possibility that all 35 KSFAs will get OSB in the upcoming days since 5 of them had gotten it today

@sgtrainstransportation 5 already today? (especially on a weekend) Wow. Since the pandemic (2021 onwards), I have been avoiding the C151A trains entirely due to their two step brakes and rode the 57 sole upgrade trains (especially C151B as my favourite model) more often instead. Hopefully once all C151A trains have one step brakes maybe end of this month or next month since it might take a while to install it, I may want to ride them again as a 'trial' first soon
