Are those metal gears strong enough that I can run without a servo saver? I'd like to run a straight servo horn in my Rustler for more responsive steering. Anybody have any experience with doing this?
Don’t bother upgrading your stock servo, just upgrade to one with titanium gears. While this is going to be quite a bit more expensive, it will almost always be cheaper on the long run.
Okay, quick upgrade for you guys, it seems like the nylon is missing in older replacement parts, so you would have to go to your local dealer and exchange it for a new one
The Traxxas E-REVO VXL 1/16 has a 2080 Servo. Can I get a 2075 Servo on it? If so I wouldn't hesitate to get them and install them. I stripped 3 gear teeth. All I did was take it apart and rotated the gears. It makes a small clicking sound now but works and controls the car. I can take it apart again and realign the gears to stop the clicking but for now, it works. I did a small bashing and my car flipped rolling on every wheel from from side of the road to the other off a bad sidewalk jump lol
So I take it this now fits the Slash (and other associated) servos? Seems to be much uncertainty as the product listing states 2070-2075 servos but the supported vehicle is the TRX-4 (which uses a 2075x)...
Spencer Peat Probably because the 2075X Servo is basically a 2075 Servo with metal gears already installed. So when you install this gear kit into a 2075 Servo-you’re converting it into a blue 2075X. And yes, this Servo fits the Slash along with many other 1/10 models.
what i dont get is traxxas puts High Torque on the Servo like my 2075 but all the gears in it are cheap plastic why not have the Metal Servo Gears already installed i love and use traxxas i was jw thats all
Dear Traxxas, I have some 3 cell 5000 lipo batteries for my e revo, they are puffed up like crazy. Is there anything I can do to unpuff them or replace them.
Same. There’s like two versions of the 2075 fr what it seems like, and now there’s a version with a red dot next to the 2075 number printed on the servo; and the gears are grey. I don’t know what the difference is between the red dot and white dot servo.
The white dot servo has pre threaded output gear, and the red dot doesn't. I figured it out when Traxxas support told me to use the self tapping screw.
Gonna need these. Plastic gears in both my Erevo servos were stripped inside of 3 weeks of ownership.
One of mine stripped in the first week and a half. Got this metal gear set today, gonna do both of them.
week 1 for me
Week 1 and again in week 2 I’m now running these metal gears we will see how long it last

Thank you this worked hi from Mexico
That Snap on screw driver tho 💵
Traxxas and snapon are probably connected somehow
@@zac.bolin01 I believe that might because they have Traxxas rc themed Snap On truck. Probably just sponsor the thing
NightHawk J30 didn't even think about that
Explains why their simple hex bit driver set is so expensive, it's Snap-On
Thats what i said lol Did I mention I work for Snap-On and that screwdriver came from my factory here in Milwaukee?

Best warranty
how to realign steering after this
I have been having trouble with the realignment for around 2 to 3 weeks after my gears got stripped
Doesn’t this void your warranty??
MaybeBobRoss no cause it’s a traxxas product ffs

Because including a metal gear servo (2075x) would increase the cost of their lower end trucks to like 30% or more! LOL
Because they want you to buy their parts knowing their trucks are basically sabotaged from the factory cuz they are greedy as f**k
Can this work with Dromida cars? BX4.18
Anyone any experience? I got one guy saying it wont fit and no rating in the internet.
Will i be able to upgrade my 2075 plastic model to metal gears?
Yes
Customer service is hit or miss

XxBold NinjaxX call traxxas support at
Throw them out
Is the nylon insert a new part added to the metal gear kit? I bought a set 2 weeks ago and it did not come with the insert
I have the same problem on 3 sets I got.
That plastic insert is not part of the kit or in the original servo either. How do we get it ??
It's the 2072R set that has it
My gear is grey......it doesn't have thread inside so i can put the screw in...help?

I chose to stick with the plastic servo, plastic breaks and is easy to replace, metal however could end up harming other components of the Rc-car...
Whats the point of this ? Does it make your rc better?
The plastic gears jam and break with time. The metal sets are more durable and last longer.
Teimon Kauppa hopefully better torque on the racecar
What models use these servos?
GNX157 rustler banted stampped slash i think thats it
E revo brushed and brushless, e maxx, xo 1, and other 1/10 scale cars
Almost all 1/10
The summit uses 2 of them for steering
2
f*ck where can I buy a whole new servo with un shredable metal gears
Just buy the set and make it yourself its easy
