I had THREE 750Ks. 70, 72, 75. A XS650 yamaha, 750 triumph trident, other Hondas a few sporties etc. Bought a new 2006 harley softail standard stock i still have but now MUCH modified today. I rode a 74 750K recently and can safely say its definitely OLE SCHOOL! Even totally restored im amazed at exactly how far we've come today. AMAZED! Eye opening experience but a good one. Love the look on this one. Four open pipes(less power sure but would sound even more awesome) and a more narrow lower seat is all id do, just me though. Otherwise...perfect🤙

You are all awesome people.
I remember the hp rating from the factory manual claimed either 63 or 67 hp. The first cb750 I restored was a 1970. I hauled from a motorcycle junkyard in Medford OR to the coast in a Honda CRX with the #3 spark plug fouled.
Stock CB750's were lucky to have 50 RWHP....that's with a fresh tune up and cool air. 72 RWHP is about right for that engine set up.....I'm sure it has a mild cam in it. My CB is a little over 1000cc and makes just under 107 RWHP.
You guys are badass but seems like the rear wheels are always almost off your dyno and I'm waiting for one of these days for the Manic Mechanic to do a wheelie out of the dyno machine!

(Big CB fan, only CB I'll let slide anywhere near looking like this is an Amen Savior, otherwise, nope 😂) Edit, and if the stock pipes are coming off, the only thing going back on is either a Moriwaki or a Yoshimura 4.2.1.....cant believe this was built in Japan with a Kerker instead of a Japanese pipe, tisk. And why didn't he run it out to the redline? The bike was still making power and climbing with no roll off, it probably would've made well over 80, probably close to 90 wheel HP if he would've revved it out? 🤔😩

Seeing the power curve i think i'd rather have the stock. Most of the HP increase is in the 80 to 100mph range, which is too fast for a bike like this... I like the chromed parts and subtle paint work though.
The HP increase isn’t limited to the 80mph to 100mph range, you just see that on the dyno run because of the gear they dyno it in. The horsepower gain is across that same rpm no matter what gear you’re actually riding it in.
Potential for night schooling over there. How did mmi get started. All them roofs and windows would get fixed fast with federal grants towards trade school programs, welding, machine shop, auto body, small engines, advanced motorcycle mechanic, engine, frame, and suspension authorized through Gas Gas/ Husky/KTM, and maybe some Harley classes.

Had a 72 with an 836 kit, Poweroll cam, and the same Kerker pipe. What an awesome bike!

Id love to have this guy tune my CB750. It runs good but the manic mechanic would make it run better.

It has a front wheel lock on the dyno machine, and there is no need for a strap.

Chain looking pretty dry and kinky ! Oil that chain up you might get a better number !
