True story, drove up to Kansas City one night with the girlfriend to see Trust Company and Pacifier at the Beaumont Club. Rocked out, drove home, slept a couple hours, picked up another homie and drove to Tulsa the next night to see the same show again at Cain's Ballroom. Those were the days! I just wanted to say THANK YOU for those songs at that time, it meant a lot.

Relatively new fan here. I heard "The War is Over" in a Warcraft video back in the day. A couple of years ago, I remembered there was some pretty cool music in those, and went back to take note of band names. I ended up going through each of your albums, and was very satisfied with most of the songs. My parrots say hello (chirp chirp), they have been with me for a week and a half, and have already listened to most of your songs. They start singing as soon as I put on music, especially with Ramones so far. Just wanted to say hi, and that your music already means a lot to me.

Think of the year 2004.. My friends and I are on our way to a fair (driver had a bass system).. He puts in a cd and says to me (specifically, because he knew I love rock / metal) - "Dude! Ever heard a rock band on a system?". Me: "No.. that's usually rap garbage on systems." Driver: "Yeah.. well, get ready for mind to be blown.." He starts playing (which I didn't know at the time) Figure 8... HOLY SHIT!?!?! Mind-Indeed-Blown! I was 17yo and.. whoa! A lot going on at that age.. getting ready to leave home and go to mil., My gf and i had to split up, friends leaving, realizing death of friends the same age.. just everything was flying so fast and sadly.. but, also good aspects, too! Anyway! Hearing that song in that car and on that system was the beginning of following your band, buying the album (when cd stores still existed.. I miss that!) And, finally seeing you guys live! I believe i saw you at Ozzfest.. It could've been Mayhemfest? Sorry if my memory is bleh.. pretty sure Ozzfest, though. I know lyrics are written for certain reason by the artist. But, the beautiful thing about lyrics and the feel of the music, is that I could then interpret to fit and cope in my own life. Figure 8 (going to play it after I'm finished here) made me deal greatly with the relationship break-up (although, amicable and both agreed it should happen as life was pointing us both into opposite moves). She still later searched me out and told me those words: "We messed up. I can't trust anyone but you. I miss you so much. I love you!". Sad stuff.. I just know that I'm going to listen to it in a second and I'm going to be 17yo again, in that car, this time knowing the lyrics, blasting it and singing along thinking of that relationship end.. but, probably going to tear up on that also knowing how I am grateful with having the great relationship that I have now and a beautiful daughter! Who, btw, will grow up to hear your music, too! Lol Thank You so fuckin much for that! Thank You so very much for that!

Hey Kevin! Thanks for sharing this video, I'd never really thought to try to play this song until you put this out. As I was watching and listening I realized that this song is almost identical to Backfire by @egyptcentral - Not only that, but the songs' respective albums came out within less than 2 months of each other in 2011. I was curious if this is just a spooky coincidence or if there's some common musical influence you might share! Also want to note that I've started playing mash-ups of the two songs when I perform, they go together so naturally. This tutorial has been a big help for learning both songs. Thanks!
Hey, Sean! I just went and listened to Backfire and you're right, the strumming part is pretty much the same. Crazy that they both came out around the same time. I guess it's just a coincendence. I've played around with that chord progression for years, but I don't recall being inspired by another song. Just playing around and findinging different chord voicings. The Db, A, B progression is pretty common, it seems like we both "stumbled" upon a unique way to play it at the same time. Very cool song, thanks for pointing that out out.
I never have. Keeping my voice strong and healthy on tour was always a challenge for me. I really don’t think I sing properly to be honest, but I truly appreciate the kind words man!

That’s great! My best advice is to stick with it. The beginning stages are the hardest and most frustrating. I almost gave up in the beginning because I had convinced myself I couldn’t do it. Once you get over that initial hump, it gets real fun!

Hey! The first time I say "Late night" the second time I say "Last night". The song was written about how hard it is to leave your loved ones behind for months at a time while touring. It's always during the late night hours that it gets really hard for me. My mind keeps "stumbling" over the ones I miss the most.

Hey Kevin! Thanks for sharing this video, I'd never really thought to try to play this song until you put this out. As I was watching and listening I realized that this song is almost identical to Backfire by @egyptcentral - Not only that, but the songs' respective albums came out within less than 2 months of each other in 2011. I was curious if this is just a spooky coincidence or if there's some common musical influence you might share!
Also want to note that I've started playing mash-ups of the two songs when I perform, they go together so naturally. This tutorial has been a big help for learning both songs. Thanks!
Hey, Sean! I just went and listened to Backfire and you're right, the strumming part is pretty much the same. Crazy that they both came out around the same time. I guess it's just a coincendence. I've played around with that chord progression for years, but I don't recall being inspired by another song. Just playing around and findinging different chord voicings. The Db, A, B progression is pretty common, it seems like we both "stumbled" upon a unique way to play it at the same time. Very cool song, thanks for pointing that out out.

That’s great! My best advice is to stick with it. The beginning stages are the hardest and most frustrating. I almost gave up in the beginning because I had convinced myself I couldn’t do it. Once you get over that initial hump, it gets real fun!

Hey! The first time I say "Late night" the second time I say "Last night". The song was written about how hard it is to leave your loved ones behind for months at a time while touring. It's always during the late night hours that it gets really hard for me. My mind keeps "stumbling" over the ones I miss the most.
