My last concert. Uli Jon Roth opened for Michael The current line-up then was great. The singer was like, "Wow I got this gig." and his attitude live was great. I have the 2004 DVD which was recorded in Poland. Great. Michael just could not stop but I believe that touring with Uli may have changed him for the better. He saved Michael's ass at Donnington. Michael came out in swim trunks and a leather jacket, sneakers w/no socks. But when Uli was playing his songs? Hey, this old friend of mine is out doing me. And you can practically see the moment Michael woke up. Get this DVD. Always missing a great singer since Phil in the UFO days but his playing has always been outstanding. His reissue of In Search of the Peace of Mind is a masterpiece. God has sustained him Amen!

In the 2004 MSG Michael is playing the Gibson Flying V in video for the last time. How Gibson could not or did not make a Michael Schenker Flying V and work with him is unconscionable. Also, no disrespect, and there is no arguing about taste but Unforgiven is one of the worst if not thee worst albums to bear his name. But hey, each his own. Thanks for interviewing him at this time. Written in the sand had some great songs. I loved it but the singer was not one for live performances. Barry Sparks and Shane Galas were a great hard rock combo. But live Dougie was the best after years of mediocre singer she had. P.S. The story of Michael screwing his hands is classic. 25 years of playing 12-14 hours a day and my hands curled up. Now. it is confidence of all of that practice to the heart from head to fingers. He Paid his dues and he has a direct line to his muse.

Wow! Michael, you turned down Coverdale for Bonnet?! Too bad we can't go back in time and fix that mistake!

Graham Bonnet is not only as good as Coverdale but maybe better. Get your hearing checked.
