Hugh Newman explores a rarely visited part of Teotihuacan, possibly the oldest part of the site dating officially to 100 BC, but could be much older. The Temple of the Feathered Serpent is usually closed to visitors, but exclusive access was granted to investigate the huge megalithic blocks behind the pyramid that made up the original structure. It originally featured 365 statues (weighing 4-tons) of Quetzalcoatl and the Quinametzin giant Rain god, Tlaloc. Hugh also discovers a second entrance to the famous underground tunnels where strange metallic spheres and cranial deformed burials were unearthed. The megaliths and tunnel entrance are behind the pyramid, an area usually out of bounds to tourists. It is located at the southern end of the Avenue of the Dead, Teotihuacan's main thoroughfare, within the Ciudadela (Citadel) complex. It sits behind the Adosada platform that was built later, possibly to hide the structure from public view. Includes exclusive aerial footage.

    At 13:21 you show the Quetzacoatl that still has obsidian eyes! I visited Teotihuacan as a teen in 1969 when it was still quite undeveloped. I wandered off into a ruin called the "Treasure Room" near the pyramid of the moon. Inside were columns with carved faces that all had obsidian eyes. I distinctly felt like I was being watched and examined by those faces. I have tried to research this room but it appears to have been razed and wiped from the records. Thanks for confirming this childhood memory of those obsidian eyes.

    And perhaps water actually flowed out of the mouths of the gods' heads when the cistern was overflowing with its bounty. Pyramidal structures are commonly found over underground water reservoirs or aquifers and are said to help raise up the underground water.

    As you were showing us all the Quetzalcoatl and Tlaloc heads, and then the tunnels and openings, I started to wonder if this was a vast protected water cistern, and then you said "The entrance to the Underworld...and was full of water..." [10:32] Could the metal spheres have been ball-cocks, to cover the entrance, or exit, to the tunnels and openings when the water level got that high, and stop it draining away?

    I can't help but notice similarities between the Teotihuacan site and the massive waterworks built surrounding Angkor Wat. I wonder if the entire Avenue of the Dead, and depressed areas surrounding the pyramids of the Sun and Quetzalcoatl were once reservoirs before the Atzecs found the site and repurposed it.
    Tlaloc is the God of water, rain, who makes things spout. I wonder if this used to be the site of an ancient spring.

      @@MegalithomaniaUK Some things I'd love to know your thoughts on... when you consider that the thousands of prehistoric megalithic sites all over the planet are all (or the majority) aligned so precisely to mark the equinoxes and solstices, and if you consider that most everyone was gathering at these sites at those exact same times, just imagine what might've been accomplished with everyone all over the planet focusing their energy at that exact same moment. Especially if the sites were resonance chambers of different sorts! I hope that made sense, lol. I also wonder what you think of the possible connection of modern sasquatch people to the giants of old? And if you've watched Newearth's (Sylvie Ivanova) Sardinia series which is incredibly enigmatic. "Cart ruts" that go for miles in every direction and dozens of feet high in places, as well as having a center rut with what look like inline footprints in them. Extremely strange! Thanks for all of your phenomenal work, I absolutely love all of it!!

    I'm always scanning for nubs among the megalithic blocks. At 12:57, right before the transition it looks like a nub on the right side of the Tlaloc face. I know many of these relief carvings are corn, sea shells, and other figurative decorations, but I wonder if they were sculpted the same way the nubs were formed on Peruvian megaliths and bedrock... Thanks as always Hugh.

    Thanks for the great footage. What's the position of local archeology? I mean, it's undeniable that there is an original part of the structure, the one with megalithic blocks and beutiful sculpted heads, and then the rough piled up stones with mortar that constitute the majority on the building which are the "renovated" part. What time line do they attribute to original vs renovation?

    • @maughan3061
      @maughan3061 Před 3 lety +1

      I get the feeling that the morter is an attempt to consolidate the structure. I assume those parts of it were built like a dry stone wall and was probably very neat originally. Note how the morter is absent in the tunnel.

    Can anyone speak to the cement behind the pyramid? Did modern workers pick up all of those stones, pave the whole area, then put them back, and why? I know the Greeks and Romans had concrete, did the teotihuacanians? I am positive that they weren't aware of iron, and therefore weren't responsible for the iron grate @10:50. Just curious.

    Those Giant God's are really fallen angels it's not a coincidence they died in a flood. In the bible God brought a flood upon the earth because the fallen angels procreated with human women. Who Gave birth tho nephilim , yes the nephilims where Giants but in Hebrew the word nephilim means fallen one . And also in the book of Enoch the watchers were also fallen angels who disobeyed God and lust for human women. Just Like in the bible in Genesis but this fallen angels taught the human race astrology , magic like the use of roots ,herbs , how to make weapons, jewelry and make up . They knew humans where going to corrupt themselves with that knowledge. That's why God was so mad at them he chained them up until judgment day. The bible also talks about that too in 2 Peter 2:4 and the angels who not kept their first estate but left their own habitation he had reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. And guess who else got chained up ? the Greek God's the titans by Zeus . And also in Greek mythology Zeus brought a flood upon the earth and chose a couple to built a ark just like in the bible God chose Noah and his family .
    Every culture there's a stories about flood and Giants but in reality they all are the fallen angels who betrayed God . So now you know who the Mayans learn their knowledge of astrology. They got that knowledge from fallen angels Satans army. Why you think they sacrificed and did rituals to talk to the God's they were manifesting demonic entities Fallen angels, demons they all work for Satan. Even the star people of native American culture are demonic entities and fallen angels. All this ufo stuff is the same thing fallen angels and demons. the ufos you see I'm the sky fallen angels. 2 Corinthians 11:14 and no wonder for even Satan disguises himself as and angel of light. And the Alien abductions are demon entities there's been over 400 abduction ufo cases that's been stop by the name Jesus. think about it why would a ufo be scared of the name Jesus . And angels and demons live in the spiritual realm Aka dimension. Ephesians 6:12 for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against the rules against the authorities against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 3:18 may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the width and length and depth and height. Proof in the bible that there's is a fourth dimension. Albert Einstein died not been able to prove of a fourth dimension. Later on scientists made the discovery but the equation was in the bible all along.

    The tunnel has a lot of anomalies.
    The dates that were supposed to help Identified when was made were sample from inside the tunnel and never gave a timeframe. That’s because the teams were suspended from their work. The dates that carbon 14 gave were far more ancient. Far more. Too far to been accepted by the mainstream arquelogists tried to fit in their timeline.

    Are those pyramids conducted from ground up or built on top of a mound/hill. All the megalithic blocks are too perfect on color and look exactly like concrete. They don't look like rocks. All the rocks and stones change in color. The megaliths are too uniform in color to be stone. They show deterioration that is similar to concrete. There must be more studies on this. 12 min 50 seconds in you can see the rubble underneath this geopolymer layer.
