I rode an NVX 155 for 900 kms in Vietnam recently. It was amazing, fast, vibration free and it climbed the 1000 m mountain road easily. What an amazing Scooter. I have ridden large road bikes all my life but this baby has me hooked.
I was once very confused between the two cool bikes, I did consider many things before buying it. So then I consider my long term interest on deciding which is which.
At the end of the day it will all fall for your comfort zone. This is the biggest factors before I bought one of that two:
Aerox is very cool and good looking, faster than NMAX in some ways. Very Good for City drive.
NMAX is the most comfortable set-up scooter. you can bend and straight your legs while on the ride, same good for city drive but better for long ride than aerox.
Here's the thing for me, time after time you can find a better looking scooter than aerox. I mean good looking is quite nice but it will fade as the time goes by. But a very comfortable riding with NMAX is a way better than any good looking scooter, this factor wont fade away ^_^

I love my NMAX! 2019 model Comfortable ride .brakes are awesome ABS . Easy to manouvre and more than enough power and speed. I’m in Melbourne Travel on Freeways at 100 kph regularly and most speed limits in my area are 80 kph . Perfect urban scooter. Have ridden 300 cc sym for quite some time. Brakes poor Hard suspension and the only advantage is a slightly higher top speed. And for the price NMAX for me everyday👍
It came down to the tires and wheels for me.....14" (Aerox)vs. 13" wheel, (N Max) also fatter tire will feel more stable, give more shock absorbtion, and I love the sportier look of the Aerox.....it would be better if the Aerox had a rear disc also, but I can live without it.....also the instrument display is way cool too......just my 2 cents..

look, they both have the same engines. So that part forget about comparison. they both run around max 115 - 121 kmph. Both will not go super speed in highway considering your body weight as well. Now Nmax is more comfortable in sitting position and Aerox is more sporty as in for youngsters. the only difference is the meter and starting options. One is keyless, and has a more fancy meter if it matters to you. Nmax is way cheaper in Malaysia and Aerox @ NVX is significantly expensive around 3k in Malaysia. Also consider the tyre maintenance, Aerox has big tyres and will cost you more on yearly basis. Charger port meh, don't matter really. Braking system, it depends on how you ride so it wont really matter. Last but not least, fuel tank capacity. Nmax can hold 6.5 liters while Aerox at 4.6 liters. So its age and personal preference, both are good bikes and better than PCX engine wise talking from personal experience using PCX for 5 years . Just choose what you prefer more one over another. I have Nmax and I am very very happy with it. Its more practical and cheaper. The fuel tank capacity and tyre maintenance is what pulled me in the end. Aerox is just to show off which nobody will care in few years time. In Malaysia, Nmax is more on the road.
I admit I do like the style of both these bikes, but for me the NMAX just edges out the AEROX in side profile looks, but the AEROX has a better instrument setup than the NMAX. That said however, I'm still a fan of the Honda 125 Air Blade, as I firmly believe it's side profile is the best I've seen with this scooter styling. Check out the Vlog from WaveXSG. There are only two issues I could level at it, that being, 1, the Instrument cluster is analogue rather than digital, and 2, it seems this model is only released in Vietnam. Perhaps the 2020 model may upgrade to digital instruments. I'll shortly be transferring to the Philippines, where both the NMAX and AEROX are available, so if I cannot import an Air Blade from Vietnam to Dumaguete, then I'll settle for the NMAX. Nmax is for comfortable riding , aerox for sporty riding , i prefer to nmax cause you can get comfort and sporty with modification

Nmax is better than Aerox, why, although they almost have the same engine, Nmax had rear disc break, Aerox had drum break. Nmax got ABS, Aerox none. Nmax had windshiel for protection, Aerox none. There is a reason why Nmax is more expensive than Aerox, that is a no brainer.
because aerox(NVX) has 3 version 1st.is standard version(similar with the R version) 2nd.is R version(in the video) and the 3rd. is S version that higest version on the series and more expensive because there was ABS SYSTEM AND KEYLESS SYSTEM

I put Pireli 130 in front n 140 in back, raised front fender to clear. 1" additional rear lift. Skid plate, hand guards, taller windshield, crash bars, sliders, 52L top box, side bags, three Bluewaters, power pipe, 183cc kit, cam, Hurricane, tachometer, water temp guage, voltmeter, alarm with remote start, wider mirrors mount, flashers, cig lighter, etc. Great adventure bike and cruiser!
I'm 5'10" n always take my wife. 12000km in six months. Pagupud, Ilocos Norte to Saiton, Negros Oriental, freeways to river crossings! Wife, 4'10", drives it when I get tired or?
Also have a Mio for her n Virago for me.
Does the Fuel Injection system work correctly with the 183cc bore kit ? Does it run lean ?
Still loving the nmax but tires and rims do look nice on the aerox though
aerox is cheaper cause of the brakes. 2x disc nmax against 1x disc + drum on aerox. maybe yamaha thought of doing this disc + drum combo for aerox to cut down the price. some are happy with the cheap price but some are not cause of the brakes. i wonder how abs will work with this brake setup. only front could activate abs and locks the rear wheel? in terms of looks, both looks really good and its a matter of preference to the rider. classy sports nmax vs aggressive sporty aerox. nice indoor parking by the way.

Exactly! That's what I'm trying to tell in my latest video I just posted yesterday. Some just don't get it.. they kept on judging about aerox is a cheap bike with lower quality compare to the nmax. Thank god there is some one that gets the idea of why is cheaper or expensive

Great Video! Both bike are great. It’s up to taste. If you prefer Honda PCX and being older maybe better go for the NMAX... The AEROX comes with an incredible sporty design and might be the best choice for sporty drivers... I decided for AEROX and it’s a great bike 😎

I saw that Nmax has more fuel capacity, 7 liters compared to aerox only 4.5L... fuel efficiency is also higher for Nmax.
Nmax is for long drive but i have a big bike for long drive thats why i bought an Aerox.

Well folks, if I had to choose between Nmax and Aerox, I'd go for Aerox. Why, because it simply looks way better. But, here's the rub, my first preference is for the 125FI Honda Air Blade, but sadly it's seems to be only available in Vietnam. I'm looking to retire to the Philippines early next year as an Aussie Ex-Pat, and was informed it's unavailable there. I contacted Honda Corporate, who replied back that I should ask of one of the many Honda Dealerships if they could bring it in for me. The 2019 Honda Air Blade would have to be *the best looking scooter* of the entire Honda range, including it's competition from Suzuki and Yamaha. Aw, let's make that from all competitors I'm thinking.
One thing of note, is that the rear tyre sports a close hugging mudguard (fender), that negates excessive water spray to the underside seat area. just one of those close attention to detail items that bespeaks well in it's overall design. Also, I feel that it has the *coolest graphics* I've ever seen on a production model. They're not too much, but just enough to highlight the Air Blade name, and the small AB chrome badge at the front is a nice touch also. Look for the Vlog from WaveXSG, as his walk arounds and music soundtracks are some of the best.
So the upshot is, if I can't have an Air Blade imported into the Phils, then my next choice would be the top model variant Yamaha Aerox, as it's similar in profile to the Air Blade, hence my choice between it and the NVX. But of the AIr Blade and the Aerox, I reckon the Air Blade just sneaks ahead in profile. Even the name Air Blade is well chosen, as it fits well it's aerodynamic profile. My opinion of course, but I'd be interested to learn from others if they may feel the same. Oh, I'm in retirement age already, so I'm no spring chicken, but still revel to be in the open air on a bike, and the *Honda Air Blade 125cc* will be but a boulevard cruiser for this old bloke, lol. Aerox is for dwarfs those plastic panels in triangular shape severely limit space for legs. I am 180 and it was uncomfortable.

I wanted Nmax for my birthday, but my father is suggesting Aerox, and watching the video and reading the comments just made it harder for me to decide. Here in the PH, Nmax with ABS is cheaper than Aerox by 78 USD. Design wise, I like Aerox better (Matte Blue) . But my heart is screaming for Nmax (Midnight Black).

Another difference, nmax got ABS. Which aerox must also equipt with for better safe riding.

I owned a N Max155 before,sold out due to the 13" small size of tire,it was dangerous when you ride at the bad road.So I prefer the Aerox 155 with the 14" tire.

it depends what you need, basicaly nmax and aerox is have the same engine same 155cc and vva too, i think nmax is more suitable for rider that like touring because the position its so comfortable and aerox is more suitable for rider who wants a racy or sporty scooter because its more sporty than nmax. nmax and aerox them both are really a good motorcycle
If you want to race get a Sportbike.. At least Nmax is not pretending what is supposed to be.. a Decent Euro Inspired Scooter..
But I like the fatter grips on Aerox. However, I didn't buy a Scooter to ride fast.. I have a Sportbike for that. which is really, really faster.
If I ride my Nmax too fast in the corners, the lower under fairings always slides to the Ground. But it is a lot better than my friend's Honda PCX.. The PCX's under fairings would slide to the ground much sooner than the Nmax.
I'm not sure if the Aerox has the same issue.
Joey, it's a good compromise in that I'm bigger than the average guy here and the power helps compensate. Sure, it's definitely not for racing though. Obviously the NMAX is better but it also costs around 20% more here, big difference. NMAX with bigger tires would be close to perfect I imagine.

Nasty Melll thanks for your info dude. Aerox just release in Indonesia. And the review is not good at shocbreaker and weird noise around shock or CVT (still don't know where noise come from). but many says its from rearshock.

Yup I notice that as well but actually is a normal thing for the factory shock absorber. Is actually the air pressure sound when it compress down. (The stock absorber is more softer due to the smaller spring on it) compare to the aftermarket brands that is solid and bigger harder springs. It doesn't effect any bad or negativity to your bike don't worry.

You can go for Aerox for me if you're not that a big person and want great appearance for your ride then choose aerox, coz it has same engine with N-Max. Only Brakes would be your last concern. If you're a responsible rider brakes don't matter that much
