Very informative. Thank you. I still have a pretty good while before my service is due but I wanna be ready when the time comes. I'll most likely do the Weller kit when I do my service.
I’ve got a 2009 Grizzly 450 with around 4000 miles never touched the belt or clutches rode many trail miles hauled a lot of firewood never smoked the belt great cvt! Still running factory battery after 15 yrs ! Yamaha rocks ! Probably should check the belt at this time
Oh yea, excellent belt system. The best. What I describe in the video is recommended preventive maintenance. You can get by with a lot more mileage though, especially on the ATVs.
I used Tink seal on both clutches 2000 miles ago. When I took them apart the secondary looks great. The primary however, most of the grease came out and was all over the cage. I think I going to an ultramatic equivalent on the primary and tink seal on the secondary.
Interesting and thanks for commenting. I'll keep an eye on my Rmax as it has tinkseal. I wonder if your primary o-ring got leaky? Not sure how else that would happen.
Amigo el embrague primario le servira a una cuatrimoto grizzly 350 el que se ve en tu video trae 4 tornillos y el de la mia trae solo 3 tornillos rn la tapa no encuentro el de ella pero son casi lo mismo
Great video! What’s the name of that other grease that works for both? Can’t get yamalube this weekend trying to find an alternative. I have brake caliper silicon lube, thought of trying that
Tinkseal works for both. I know bel-ray wheel grease would work in a pinch for a short time if it was changed back out quickly. Really not sure about anything else.
@@mc-rob4762 I had a negative experience with a Grizzly 700 and a great waterproof grease (Belray) and never tried it again. I suspect it was a combination of extreme heat/cooling cycles with the motion and dust contamination over time from the cooling air pumped through but the grease broke down and the sliders were making an awful noise. I had to get back in there and service it within a year. I won't claim that one experience is the holy Bible though, I just never tried it again.
@@shootermcgavin1485 same, my back end was completely under water so I had to get off my quad in waist deep water and throttle it out. Thank god my exhaust tip is angled at 90 degrees otherwise I’d of been done for 😂
Brilliant job well done. Basically a video service manual. Top marks, please continue down this road.
Thanks did mine tonight video was very helpful.
@@johnlegate9294 glad to hear it!
Excellent!! Very detailed - the best I've seen on this project.
Thank you!

That's exactly what I did for my Rmax.
Excellent explanation to how to do the job....Thank you from South Africa...
Thanks for the awesome video .

@@coachvonyo cool thanks for the quick reply. I’ll see what’s available
@@coachvonyomarine grease works very well for all services on this clutch due to its waterproof properties

Who else is here after too much dirt and water got in their clutch from excessive mudding 😂
Probably more than would like to admit!
Me at the least, I fully submerged mine 🤦🏼♂️

I remember watching you do that in your garage. ⚙️🛠️🪛
Yes we knocked this out on your Grizzly 700 years ago.
