I'm 36 and have been a die hard o's fan my whole life and this team our front office has put together over these past few years is just what we have all been waiting for. This team is full of just Dawgs flat almost every position. Nvr been more excited for a season like this . On a side note we own the Yankees right now. Str8 took them out to the woodshed today.
No doubt. I was born in 83, so technically I was like 7-8 months old for that World Series win. Obviously I don’t remember that lol, But 41 years is too long. Gotta get over the snide this year. I think this team can do it. Make a trade before the deadline for another starting pitcher, gotta figure out the closer spot. Kimbrell can’t be the guy. He has ZERO saves when it’s a 1 run lead. He’s blown every opportunity. We have to make a move. Keep Kimbrell, just not as closer anymore.
I hear ya 37 here and this is the most exciting team since the 97 Os. I love how many guys are home grown too, lot of respect for the organization for doing it the right way.
I'm 41 from East Baltimore. I was 19 months old the last time we won it all in 1983. I've been waiting for this all my life. Especially since 1996.
When the Orioles were 4.5 back, I wasn't worried at all. All those years the Yankees would beat the Orioles like they stole their lunch money, NO MORE. What is so amazing, is that Oriole's pitching staff is decimated with injuries, and we still have won five of seven so far against the Yankees this year.

All I heard on MLB Network after this game was how many excuses they were giving the Yankees. "Oh, it's too hot outside!" "Judge was injured!" "Luis Gil didn't bring his best stuff!" "The O's are inexperienced!" Let me put it this way for all of the media members out there no matter where you are. THE ORIOLES ARE THE BETTER TEAM! Three of our best starters are out (And all three will likely need Tommy John), the best closer in the game is out, our setup man is out long term, Westburg got hurt on Tuesday, Gunnar and Colton aren't 100% thanks to getting beaned, our bullpen is inconsistent, one of our better starters is a guy who hadn't pitched in 7 years before this year, and we have 1/8 of the Yankees payroll. AND WE STILL ARE BEATING THEM LIKE A DRUM MOST OF THE TIME! But go ahead, call the Orioles underdogs, inexperienced, and chokers all you want. BUT THESE DOGS GOTTA EAT! #CantClipTheseWings #OriolesMagic

I'm gonna watch these highlights at least twice and just relish all of it. Dirty Yankees are going down even harder this weekend with the scorching hot Braves coming to town. We could potentially be in 1st by the end of this weekend!

I find it baffling that people see that we made it VERY clear we are the best team in baseball the last two series, and we are still going to be number 3 in the power rankings next week
This is what I like to call typical anti-Baltimore bias. They did the same crap with the Ravens during their run to the AFC Championship Game last year, especially during the San Francisco and Miami games. And not to mention it was the same thing last year when the Orioles knocked off Tampa Bay to win the division. Trust me, we love being the bad guy in the eyes of the media.

Gunnar Henderson is unstoppable. This TWENTY TWO YEAR OLD monster is not only overflowing with 6 tool talent, but he also plays the game the right way getting plunked and handling it like a 20 year veteran so the baseball Gods are with him 100%. He got thrown out at home, they said it was a bad base running mistake, but if he doesn’t get thrown out at Home the inning plays out completely different because Adley would have gotten thrown out at first if he holds up. So cabrera isn’t thinking about turning two on the high chopper, so Mounty is thrown out at first which means O’Hearns smoked line drive is third out of the inning. But because of Gunnar Henderson’s support from the baseball Gods because he’s got it all, instead of the third out of the inning, it sets up Tony Taders for another 2-out, 2-strike Weaver Special and sends a very clear message to the Yankees, “there will be no chipping away, there will be no comeback, there will be NO YANKEES CELEBRATING AN AL EAST TITLE IN 2024!” Which was his second message to the Yankee organization and the Yankee faithful(front runners)in two days, “You wanna throw at me? Ok, cool, I’ll take the free bag, and then I’ll take another free bag when I steal second, and allow me to introduce you to my man Mounty, and he’s gonna drive me in with another one of his team leading doubles, and we are gonna let you back into the game just to show you that this run was the reason why you lost. Stanton’s single woulda been a walk off, but you needed to send us a message, how did you like our reply?”. I’m thinking maybe the Yankees should avoid sending anymore messages to these Orioles of Baltimore, but you do whatever you want since we are able to do whatever we want to the Yankees on a baseball field. How bout dem 17 runs? How bout 26-15 in 3 days? How bout the bottom of our rotation winning twice against the top of your rotation? How bout you had the best team ERA in the AL/MLB, led by Gil who has the lowest ERA amongst starting pitchers in the AL as of Monday, but now it’s Friday, and Gil is looking up at Burnesy while the rest of your pitching staff is looking up at the AL ERA leaders, those Orioles of Baltimore pitching staff. This game wasn’t just about winning the series. This game was about the team as a whole picking up individual players on the team. With this smashing of Luis Gil, Corbin Burnes becomes the front runner for Cy Young in the AL, and Colton Cowser becomes the front runner for Rookie of the Year. Especially if this impacts Gil’s mental and/or exposes him to other teams. If Burnes keeps doing what he’s doing he wins Cy Young, if Colton gets hot like he was in April and finishes with a .275BA and 25+ homers combined with his ridiculous defense/defensive range, he wins ROY. That’s why the O’s were so committed and so intense for a June baseball game. Furthermore, it shows you, when this team is serious, when they really want something, they out-do even their own hopes/expectations. This game will be considered a major turning point of the year when we get to the middle of November.
Damn, the Phillies struggled with the Os. Don’t feel as bad now, this team is gooood!
