The Flipflopi renovation #7 - Its back in the water!

After a year of improvements, Flipflopi Ndogo is back in the ocean for a water-test!! 🥳⛵️
Since 2019 when we launched Flipflopi Ndogo, she has sailed over 2,500 KM including circumnavigating the worlds largest freshwater lake across 3 countries 🇹🇿🇺🇬🇰🇪
From having Presidents and Royalty on board to students and musicians, the Flipflopi has been a consistent symbol of hope igniting positive change wherever she goes!
Since her first launch, we have massively scaled from machinery to a dedicated community collection scheme and a heritage boat-building training centre; we’ve learnt countless lessons along the way and so using our new skills, lessons and partnerships, we reconstructed her to be even stronger!
Now that she’s back in the water, we’re continuing to test our techniques and further develop the skill of heritage boat-building using our colourful, recycled-plastic lumber as we prepare to meet more communities and take the #plasticrevolution further!
