When I was preparing for the civil services, I met a fellow aspirant who gave me an interview advice. He told me that he had spent last 3 years of his life traveling in Trains through various corners of India. And he made sure he always travelled in General unreserved or sleeper class. He met real people and volks geist of India.
If the train pulled by wap 7/5, then the engine equipped with a.c and fans in loco pilot area of the engine....don't worry.... that's also leborious..but what's to be done, it's their duty...anyone had to do.....

Great to view Thar Desert on a moving train. It brings back memories of 1980 in the Desert of KSA 50+ , Dust Storms , zero visibility , raining sound of sand pouring on the car, stuck and waiting for the dust and road to clear of sand.
I was posted in 1986 and 1987 in section from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer.I was to visit daily at any one of the 33 station in this section.The people were very honest and God fearing there.They were very nice and cooperative.

I am a rail fan from Kolkata. I like general class more for the opportunity to mingle with local people. I am not from an elite class so feel more comfortable in general class. Anyway, pretty nice video. The double signal showed in your video was for the opposite side train, hence you saw black and white stripes. The other side has red and white stripes, which is for the incoming trains. Your area looks like Pakistan Quetta or so! I love these deserts, particularly during dawn!

The high temperature of the desert is known but the cost of 1 Mirchi bhajji @ 15/ per piece is also abnormally high🔥🥴In Hyderabad, a plate of 4 costs 30 to 40/- only. Thanks for the video, Looks beautiful, our India!
Charging 15/- per piece is not abnormally high considering the fact that poor vendor is solely depending on Railway passengers to earn his daily livelihood than purchasing of snacks by others. Moreover, very few passengers may buy snacks bcoz there are no much rail traffic in this hot section of rail network. Let's be kind towards the vendor once in a while at least helping in his livelihood.
I am a rail traveller, Indian railways has improved a lot, but still a lot of problems are faced by passengers. Train timings, platform, Display, stations, cleanliness still needs to be improved.
