It's been 13 years and still got a goosebumps
14yrs and i still come back. I bought a guitar learned this song, played it everyday. I only learned three songs and this was one of them. And i have left playing guitar.
15 years and comeback, got a new guitar and started practicing again....
I love how Don makes a HUGE impact on the song, yet never gets in the way of what Andy is doing with the melody and harmony. Sign of a true master.
That is because Ross is doing most of the percussive and the beats... reason why the song sounds a little more stylish. however, Andy Mckee is doing his tapping and melody which is his arrangement like you said. Both are legends in this style.
If i were the tree in background, i would give fruits instantly :D
I could listen to this on a beach when the sun is just about to go down, and there's a bonfire, and mojitos....beautiful, and relaxing.
Still find myself coming back for more of this song, at least 10 years later.
I still come to this duet as one of my favorites on the regular. Thanks Andy and Don for sharing your incredible talents!

It’s super rare to see guys of this type of talent playing together on such a complex piece. I love the original solo version but this duet version is the definitive version for me now it’s so damn beautiful. Don Ross adds so much drama to this track. It really adds some dynamic weight to the piece. Holy god him and Andy are such tight players too. 11/10.

This song reminds me of my deceased brother - we used to go sailing out of Marina Del Ray on the weekends. I can feel the ocean and the wind when I listen to Ross and Mckee. Thanks for the vibe!

Don Ross is a wizard. He compliments and intertwines with Andy so well without overpowering.
I normally don't feel like Andy's songs need any more musical accompaniment, but this song sounds so much fuller and melodic with the second guitar. Simply amazing.
I love winter when I put these guys on, get the cider going, and watch snow fall. Without them, I hate the damn season.

One of my favorite songs of all time. So beautiful. I can feel the sea lapping at my feet with the rhythm. I can see the dark horizon. Cold wind. Moon's reflection on the waves.
As I age and come back to it, this performance gets more and more meaningful to me. It's so wistful and bittersweet. I really cherish it. Thanks for keeping it up all these years.

My gosh I still love this song after all these years
You hear an insane talent like Andy McKee playing their tunes and they are whole and beautiful. And they hook and send you on wonderful trips.
Then you hear the same tunes with the artist plus Don Ross and you think "aaahhh the pieces are all back together".
That harmony and resonance at 2:27 and 4:30 is what life is about.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The emotion and character behind it is moving. I can't believe anyone transpired this much emotion into a song, it's a master piece and I can't wait to learn it

Since it was first uploaded, I have come back to this video many, many times. Every single time, completely blown away by the incredible craftsmanship and execution of this masterpiece. I found Andy's work, by accident, in 2007. I'm so glad I clicked his name.
