Thanks for rebuilding my celtics Kenny! I dont think we need a shakeup of this caliber irl (or hope we dont at least), but Lillard is ceartainly an intriguing option.
I mean, if there was a game 7 scenario where Tatum would be injured first play, or shooting poorly, Dame has the ability to single-handedly win and carry a roster. Plus it’s a better fit, especially for 3 point shooting.

The hype around all this is crazy Boston would never trade for an older player on the same contract that Jaylen Brown would be receiving. You never trade an all-NBA player in their prime.
I think the logic is it hasn't gotten the results you want and you have had the core of Tatum and Brown for many years. It seems like one of them ends of choking the chances at the chip every year.

I think you run it back with some bench tweaks, but this offseason they’ll have the luxury of adding to the coaching staff and Mazzulla being able to work with them in the offseason. They started getting their defensive identity back, but need some more work on it. Move Horford to the bench and let Rob get starter minutes. Either sign some knockdown shooters, or develop a guy like Sam Hauser to have a knock down threat to space the floor. Everyone on the Celtics can shoot, but they dont have a shooter that you absolutely have to guard. This team was lighting up the league in the first half of the season with their ball movement, and idk what happened to that in the playoffs. They have the talent, just need better coaching staff imo.

Sometimes you should do the rebuilds like you start it with a fun idea like the JB - Lillard swap, then from that point you do it realisticly. I think it would be interesting and fun as well.

Challenge idea: do a rebuild of a random team but u have to use 2k rules like you have to wait days to trade people after getting them. You have three years to win a championship with the same team.

Would love a video idea called “Pick & choose”. Basically you can only use draft picks on players who aren’t staying. So if you trade a pick for a player, that player can not stay on the team. This makes it harder to get the super elite players and forces you to need a deeper, more well rounded team.

I love Jaylen Brown on the team….but I’d love an upgrade at PG too cuz Smart just does not cut it and if it means getting rid of Brown, so be it. I doubt Lillard would be the solution (considering he doesn’t play defense so it’s IT4 all over again) but if we go for Dame and do other moves, it is what it is.
