It triggers when you get an enemy encounter when stepping into a boss tile

the time when you have broke the game happend to me
you can do it rarely if your going to a boss and there is an enemy in the same place.
then you will fight the enemy and when you beat him you will kinda broke the game :)
thank you for this video, i searched for hours trying to find some way to get the only charakter i was not able to find somehow, when i was younger. i always wanted to finish this game and now i finally did it.
That glitch you had happen when you enter a fight right as you fight the boss the boss can't kill you but your items can kill him. I know this because it happen to me 2 times.
This video changed my life 6 count it 6 whole years of messing around with the files and having fun with this game,

the black screen boss glitch happend to me too, i can only guess it's when you trigger a random encounter with an enemy on the boss tile, cause that's what caused it for me.

My theory for that glitch is that if you encounter an enemy and a boss at the same time, You get that glitch.
also you can deal with 9999 damage if you used slash (only jack-o-bonnie)

I beat Scott on second try and Chipper on first because my team is so good that is takes more than 10,000 exp to level them up.
