Thats my prefered plament for a "loopless" book too. One of my digital pads, Remarkable 2 has a magnetic on the long side. But I keep trying to put it on the top side like you mentioned.
I have this journal and found that Tombows really bled through when I used the bullet end. I was really surprised. I use it as a brain dump/note journal. I also practice lettering and doodling when I'm figuring out theme/layout ideas.
So fun to see a review of this journal! It's not for me though, I also prefer bright white pages and the dots look way too dark for my taste. The washitapes though 😍😍
It’s a pretty notebook but I am with you, Jess. I prefer bright white pages and paper that doesn’t have any ghosting or bleeding. I’m currently using a Notebook Therapy journal as my everyday journal so having a pen loop isn’t as big a deal for me.

I'm crazy about the washi tape shops actual washi tapes.. I treated myself a little while ago and love the quality. I prefer bright white paper as well, means the colours pop more in markers, washi, stamps and added paper decorations. Overall TWS looks like a nice option
Can you please do making a bullet journal in a live stream I would love to see that challenge and a video of all you journal uses for example long term collection life goals etc

You'd have thought that they would have gone the white paper route to better show off their tapes. Interesting that the crayola supertips show through as they're a great alternative to the tombows. Also, if you place a pen on the top paper edge of the notebook, that works as a pen loop with less stress on the connection points. :)

I have journals with different kinds of paper because some are for journaling, fountain pens and drawing. So i enjoy having different ones.

I'm not into florals at all. I also like pen loops but it's not like I have to have it. But Im just looking for larger journals nowadays
