Man I wish I had a better copy of this one?!? But I like how the early 1960's Kelloggs-sponsored characters really get down!! At least Yogi's not in drag in this one?!?
This was first seen in 1961 (Snagglepuss was introduced on Yogi's own series that year, and was also featured on boxes of "Cocoa Krispies", while Quick Draw McGraw sold "Sugar Smacks"). While virtually all of the cast members from "HUCKLEBERRY HOUND", "QUICK DRAW McGRAW" and "YOGI BEAR" are present. Tony the Tiger does NOT appear because this commercial was selling Corn Flakes, not "Sugar Frosted Flakes", 'intrepidame'. Neither Don Messick or Johnny Olsen was the announcer's voice...
Huckleberry Hound was on the short-lived Kellogg's Sugar Stars box, and Yogi Bear was on the Kellogg's OK's (their version of Cheerios) box. Mr. Jinks and Pixie and Dixie appeared in Kellogg's Raisin Bran commercials, but never appeared on those boxes. And a few Quick Draw McGraw cartoons, that featured the dog biscuit loving Snuffles, had a product placement for Kellogg's Gro-Pup T-Bone Dog Biscuits.
@@ansumanahargett6227 Homer and Jethro started their country comedy singing in the late 1940's, and have released a number of singles and albums on RCA Victor up until around 1971 or so. They mainly did parodies of popular and country songs.
@@ansumanahargett6227 I heard a similar commercial, without Huck and Yogi, doing this same song pretty much. I also own the Homer and Jethro LP, "Oh, That's Corny", that has the non-commercial version of the song on it.
I’m suddenly, craving corn like cereal🥣
I found this video while eating cornflakes

It sounds the announcer here was Johnny Olsen....
Homer and Jethro did a similar-sounding Kellogg's Corn Flakes commercial in the early 1960's. I wonder if they did some of the vocals on this one.
And early 50’s

The announcer sounds more like Don Messick in his regular voice (which sounds a lot more like Ranger Smith).

Not even Kellogg’s, you say?
You’ve obviously never heard of FROSTED Flakes?
