very pleasant little church.. too bad you couldn't get in. Maybe you could revisit.

The grave of William Forrest was of interest to me. The surname Forrest is of Scottish origin. My first husband was a Forrest and his father from Dumbarton, Scotland.

Have you ever gone to St. Cuthbert church in Eden Hall, Penrith, Cumbria? My family name is Musgrave and I went there in 1979 and 1998. Sir Richard Musgrave is buried in the aisle, a royalist in the 1600s. Also the Stapletons in the 1400s. Built in 1190. Lots of burial plaques on the wall for the Musgrave family.

@@richexplores thank you. That would make me very happy. Also pictures of Luck of Eden hall cup that is now in Victoria and Albert museum in London. Musgrave’s owned Eden Hall estate in the town of Eden Hall on the Eden river. I’ve been there several times. In Kirkby Stephen, there is a church with a tomb inside it from 1200’s containing a Musgrave. Musgrave’s were reivers on the borders with Scotland. Then baronets. Near Hadrians Wall. Oswin Musgrave came to America in 1682 and we stayed in Illinois and farmed, which is where I came from. Thanks!
