  • Splitting Maul Restoration.
Welcome to my video, today I am going to restore a maul.
I got the maul from a friend.
For removing the rust I used vinigar and soda. Filmed with G-EYE 900 Actioncam - 1080p.
I hope you enjoy(ed) the video.
If you have tips/tricks or questions for me, please leave them in the comment section.

IDK WHY THEY VARINSH THE HANDLES FOR? It make them to slick to hold. The next handle that i put on one. I'am going to put sheet metal up there around the head of the handle To protect the handle hitting the wood, by the head

Never saw that method before for affixing a head. Different, I'll give you that.

Thank you, yeah I couldn't find a good handle for this axe, this was the only one I could find but it couldn't fit properly so because of that i used that pin 😁💪

@@Needtorestore, ok cool. Looks like no shoulder to sit the head on. Good idea. Enjoying your videos, thanks for sharing.

That maul head is not going to separate from the handle anytime soon. May I ask, what was the filler that you used to fill in the empty spaces and what oil did you use on the handle? Personally I use rubber gloves when I'm oiling my own handles Anyway, a big thumbs up for being both imaginative and constructive at the same time.

Thank you 😁, for filling the empty spaces I used construction adhesive, for the handle I used oil for oiling a wooden floor, but now I use boiled linseed oil, which I think is better 👍
