That new formula is super smooth indeed, it's smooth to the point of having so little feedback, that it's hard for me to control the pen, on smooth paper it feels like sliding on a glass coated with liquid machine oil. I'll be writing with Jeststeram L for a couple of refills to see if I can get used to it, but as of now I would prefer the regular Jetstream.
I like the old Jetstream ink. It feels great to write with and it looks (to my eyes) better, more intense and brilliant on most papers than gel pens.
Yea fair point. I think a lot of dedicated Jetstream fans will feel the same
20 year upgrade finally. I been buying Jetstream since 2003. Sanford Jetstream
This new ink formula is legit... ballpoint ink king and not even close
Clean design. Wish these were available in Brazil.
Só consegui comprar pela Shopee, mas foi de vendedor internacional… Infelizmente, não temos muita variedade de produtos da Uni aqui.
I like a grippy front end !
Gotta check out that new ink. Somehow for me as a lefty Jetstream never worked that good, like Pentel, Stabilo, Schneider.... Gels.
Thanks for the review! Yeah, not a fan of that front end material, but overall aesthetic is pleasant enough. And what .. no 1.0 option? 🙂 Time to go stock up on the "old" refills!!
I recently bought the uni-ball jetstream 3 multi-pen in 1.0mm, and I would say even that pen glides a little too much. Atleast in the 1.0mm variant. Still and amazing pen and im already thinking about picking up the slim version.
Every jetstream pen I used, the ink spoils halfway. It's frustrating. Idk what I'm doing wrong. I write like everyone else, but the ink doesn't work once it reaches halfway. 😢
Perhaps this is to resolve the issue with their previous formulation all of a sudden not writing at all. I had several refills which were brand new but did not write AT ALL or stopped writing after some use.
I wish they would make a 1.2 or 1.4mm tip size more than anything.
As much as I'm a fan of Jetstream great writing experience, I hate how almost every jetstream refill I have ends up streaking and stop writing after 3-4 pages when it still shows a full refill.
Any idea why thats a thing? Would love to hear what your thoughts on that or if you have experienced anything like that before because it has happened to a dozen plus refills I have bought.
Try better paper. With low viscosity ballpoint inks loose fibers of cheap paper clog the ball tip module.
PS. You don't need to get high grade fountain pen super-smooth paper, regular good quality notebook writing paper and reasonably smooth A-grade copy paper are fine too.
Please can you review the 4&1 version of the Jetstream Lite and compare it to the original 4&1?
You should check out prima bronzo pen
Anything in the press release about other formats like maybe parker style refills?
No. That would be pretty cool though. Uni hasn’t done as much with the sxr-600 refill as I expected
Link to purchase?
I expected Lite Touch is silent type pen like Pentel Calme and Zebra Blen but not
The body (lower part) looks like a Uniball Element
Nice pens, I like the new look. Do you have any Online pens for review? German company, I love their ink for drawing, even better then BIC roundstik, I'm using their refill for my Jotter, maybe you can find them somwhere near you... Great review as always!
I have one or two of their fountain pens but that’s it. I’ll have to look for some ore. Thanks
@@asfasfd7772 + I haven't seen them, I use Faber Castell and Uni Kuru Toga for my mechanical pencils.
I'm curious about Uniball Signo, difference between UMR-87 vs UMR87E (the new version). we should try that
@@unsharpen besides small changes to the barrel appearance, the main difference is the refill. they claim that the 87E version ink is document proof and of higher quality. My own experience is that it also dries quicker and a bit smoother maybe.
Also the 207 becomes 207+ with improving the ink quality. My old 207 ink was not good in quality, even after drying the ink didn't stick to the paper and spread if I touch.
I’m interested in trying it because I like ballpoint pens for their ability to write on all surfaces, and not as much for the drag of the ink
Where did you buy this pen -- JetPens or Amazon?
Face reveal pls
As a left-handed person I can confirm that the uni Jetstream Ballpoint Pen is probably the perfect pen for me
