  • Some race tracks last forever, others don't. The Lang Lang Proving Ground is a test track built by General Motors Holden all the way back in 1957. Holden operated in Australia with great success and at their peak, employed over 24,000 people and built 7.7 million cars over the course of the companies history. The Proving Ground Test Track was purchased by Vietnamese car manufacturer VinFast but was quickly put back up for sale in 2021 after VinFast cancelled their plans in Australia. Now, the facility sits without a certain future but is still used occasionally by other manufacturers and car reviewers. So whats next for one of the last remaining bits of Australian Automotive history?
