The Shark Apex would be my pick however the only place i could findd the Apex is at Home Depot for $419... way more than the newer Stratos whoch is its "upgrade"

I have had the navigator for years and while its good, I'm ready for an upgrade, probably going cordless next. The Navigator lift away feature is kind of a pain and I barely use it anymore. I have an Australian Shepperd so no matter what I get I want a self cleaning roller cause dang, I'm more of a vacuum cleaner than my vacuum cleaner. In your opinion do cordless vacs (namely the detect pro) give up good cleaning for convenience vs corded?
