The coconut and mocha were orangey but it made you look brighter - still pretty. The truffle was more your complexion and you couldn’t tell you were wearing make up, like you just had flawless skin. Thanks for the video.
I actually was matched to 362 in the store. I went home so excited to play in my makeup and was sooooooooooooo disappointed . It left a horrible white cast look. I didn't look casket ready i was walking dead for a few months ready !!!!!!!! It does have a browning green under tone. When it dires its a completely different color. At least for me. It looked like mud. I really wanna try warm coconut but after this bad experience idk.

So I initially started with coconut, then landed with mocha, for a while. Mocha made me orange-ish. So I bought latte forever ago, put it on a portion of my hand, wiped it off immediately and tucked it awat. Today, trying to figure out my undertone, I gave latte a chance and it's almost perfect. Now, I'm going to look for Truffle. Thank you so much!

Ugh, this has helped me a lot! For a few years, I've been using 360 Mocha because, to me the other shades looked either slightly too light or slightly too dark. I hadn't even taken into consideration the undertones! Truffle seems to be more my shade than Mocha because when I apply mocha, it is too red/orange sometimes and I usually have to tone it down with my powders. I absolutely love love love this video and it's been very helpful!
Sabrina, for years 355 was my go to shade because it was the closest Maybelline had at the time. I too am so happy they have expanded the shade line. When I saw them I bought Truffle, Latte, too as I already had Coconut and MOcha. I see there is also now a Warm Coconut in the line. I mix 355 and 362 together but after watching your video I'll be trying something different. Thank you
I got coconut, and cappuccino girl. Coconut was too orange cappuccino, too light. Coconut made me look like an umpa loompa. So I mixed cappuccino and coconut together and it looked pretty good. Of course I have to go out in daylight. Once it passes the test I'm good. Loved the tutorial. Looks good on you!!!
OMG, I personally cannot thank you enough for doing this video. I just made my first purchase of this product in the 360 and was a little concerned that it didn't match all that well and when I went into Walmart I saw the truffle, which my local Walgreens doesn't carry. Might go back and get it now that I've seen you apply the two shades. My skin has a yellow undertone, so we shall see.
This was a very useful video as it is difficult to distinguish the difference simply by seeing them in bottle. To be able to see the undertones in each on your skin is helpful. This is such a highly used line of foundation because of its affordability and it is a good product for a drugstore, so thank you for taking time to do this!
I love the coconut one I used to use the latte one but that one made me look darker and it would dry out faster then I tryed coconut and I’m in love it brings out my face features more 💕 it doesn’t make me look orange as most people say I was scared to try coconut when I first saw the reviews lool

Aphua Larbi Awww I feel you Truffle was out in my stores for a while too but that's how Latte is for me it matches but is a bit cool...I have like 5 shades of that foundation now lol and I can pull off like 3 of them so I understand...Hopefully you can get your hands on Truffle in the future to see if it's a better match for your undertone 💕

What a useful video!! In the UK, the shades available for deep skin tones was limited. Everyone had to buy 360- coconut and make it work! I just saw 362 on Amazon uk but before purchasing, wanted to see if anyone had tried it on youtube. You are the first person, ive come across who appears to have the same colouring I do. I'm surrounded by aquaintances who think black people don't have neutral/olive undertones. We are either red (warm), yellow (golden) or blue (cool). Thank God, I found to prove, I am not mad. I've obvioulsy subscribed and pressed the notification bell because I have a channel too and know how important it is. Keep doing the good work, and I'll be checking out your other videos now.

I’m an NW50 shade in Mac but I’m not sure what undertone I have all I know is tht I have oily skin as well as green veins on my wrist I look good in yellow and red as a matter of fact all colors really but I assume I might be neutral. I’m thinking of getting the 360,368 or 370? Which do you think would be a better match?
Truffle is my favorite on you, however the Mocha is a good shade match as well. I have the 355 coconut and I will definitely give the truffle a try. Thank you!
Sabrina Rose - Thank you for your response. This was a great tutorial for comparing and matching undertones. The 362 Truffle looks amazing on my skin. The Mocha was a tad dark with red undertones. I think I will try the Latte next. My skin is so weird I'm yellow in my T zone area, but the coconut works well for me too. I'am also grateful that Maybelline came out with an array of foundations for WOC, especially the Fit me matte finish. You have a new subscriber!
360 is the darkest in my town and before that is for very light skin. So I always het a 360. It is a little dark but I highlight and use that as a contour.

I like to ise mocha evn tho is a little dark for me. I look like i put mud on my face when i use it. But i like using darker foundation then i use concealer to highlight and i dnt have to use a darker shade to contour. So i get a more natural looking contour. I hope yall understand what i mean.
I just bought 355 and 362. The 362 is perfect for me and my skin color is the same as yours. The 362 seems a little dark. I'm going to see if they have a number between the 2
Helloo, I liked the coconut and truffle on your skin. I feel the latte looked a little ashy. The mocha was a little dark but still looked better than the latte and even the truffle. I think we have the same complexion so my opinion I would just base on my skin.....your beautiful with or without.....thanks for this vid 😊😍💝

Your skin is flawless you don't need foundation just concealer maybe. Do you use fenty if so what colour are you? I have the 430 but its too red and slightly too dark. Thankyou for this vid it was so informative!
Saffy Awww thank you but I wear foundation and make up purely for artistic purposes not really to cover anything up. I also wear 430 in the Fenty foundation. You may want to try mixing it with a more neutral or golden based foundation or see if you can go get color matched again in stores. Ok I don't wear make up often but I do for special occasions. Because of this I don't want to spend a ton on foundation. I have the fit me dewy in the toffee shade. When I checked it in the store it seemed like a match, but when I put it on and it dries, I look like an Oompa Loompa. It turns so orange. Does that mean I need to go to a lighter shade?
Areil Ramirez That means the foundation oxidizes darker than you are on your skin once dry also doesn't have the correct undertone if it looks orange on you....it may possibly mean you need a shade lighter but the dewy and smooth doesn't have a large shade range like the matte and poreless line does...because of that limited shade expansion many of the undertones or the shade in general for the foundation may not match your skin tone. It's unfortunate but true...I'm more dry skin so I would love for an expansion for the dewy and smooth line but that may not happen. Possibly try the shade under or over the shade Toffee or try mixing the two of them. If it still doesn't work I would recommend for the drugstore black radiance foundation or the covergirl queen collection especially if you are more dry skin...they have better undertones in the drugstore for women of color...hope that helps 💕 and the best thing is you can always return makeup if it doesn't workout for you 😊 Also if you don't wear makeup a lot investing in one good high end foundation that matches you completely would not be a bad thing at all getting shade matched at a store like Sephora and asking for a sample to try it may be worth it before taking the plunge. Hope everything works out for you.
Did truffle oxidize on you at all throughout the day? I’m tired of looking orange with 360 mocha but I’ve seen a few reviews where truffle oxidized grey. Idk if it has to do with it being the wrong undertone for them but you and I have a similar complexion and yellow undertone. Help will be very much appreciated!!!
Ash It may oxidize some but it just settles into my skin more than anything...it never looked grey on me the times I’ve tried it out...it may be the wrong undertone for some people or it may not mix with their body chemistry well or may be reacting with other products they are using. My best bet is to try it out for yourself though and if it doesn’t work many stores accept makeup returns and it’s not too expensive so it’s definitely worth the try. I use 355 coconut & 360 mocha they work great on me but 368 deep espresso no bueno but I use it for my tutorials and just highlight around it that color way too dark

Thanks for this . I brought classic tan waaaay off then i brought cappuccino still to light now i just brought truffle i like it but makes me look a shade or two darker i may try latte i think coconut would be to orange. I’m loving the truffle on you ❤️

I’m an NW50 shade in Mac but I’m not sure what undertone I have all I know is tht I have oily skin as well as green veins on my wrist I look good in yellow and red as a matter of fact all colors really but I assume I might be neutral. I’m thinking of getting the 360,368 or 370? Which do you think would be a better match?
I’m trying to find my winter/spring shade and I’m still undecided. 360 Mocha is what I’ve been wearing. I guess I’ll need to buy them all too. Lol! 💕✨

Sabrina Rose - Thank you for your response. This was a great tutorial for comparing and matching undertones. The 362 Truffle looks amazing on my skin. The Mocha was a tad dark with red undertones. I think I will try the Latte next. My skin is so weird I'm yellow in my T zone area, but the coconut works well for me too. I'am also grateful that Maybelline came out with an array of foundations for WOC, especially the Fit me matte finish. You have a new subscriber!

360 is the darkest in my town and before that is for very light skin. So I always het a 360. It is a little dark but I highlight and use that as a contour.

I tried 375 which was too dark then I tried 360 which is just a little lighter but I mixed them both together and it works. I want to try 362
362 and the 358 look great on your skin the latte and the mocha

I like to ise mocha evn tho is a little dark for me. I look like i put mud on my face when i use it. But i like using darker foundation then i use concealer to highlight and i dnt have to use a darker shade to contour. So i get a more natural looking contour. I hope yall understand what i mean.

I just bought 355 and 362. The 362 is perfect for me and my skin color is the same as yours. The 362 seems a little dark. I'm going to see if they have a number between the 2
Helloo, I liked the coconut and truffle on your skin. I feel the latte looked a little ashy. The mocha was a little dark but still looked better than the latte and even the truffle. I think we have the same complexion so my opinion I would just base on my skin.....your beautiful with or without.....thanks for this vid 😊😍💝

Your skin is flawless you don't need foundation just concealer maybe. Do you use fenty if so what colour are you? I have the 430 but its too red and slightly too dark. Thankyou for this vid it was so informative!
Saffy Awww thank you but I wear foundation and make up purely for artistic purposes not really to cover anything up. I also wear 430 in the Fenty foundation. You may want to try mixing it with a more neutral or golden based foundation or see if you can go get color matched again in stores. Ok I don't wear make up often but I do for special occasions. Because of this I don't want to spend a ton on foundation. I have the fit me dewy in the toffee shade. When I checked it in the store it seemed like a match, but when I put it on and it dries, I look like an Oompa Loompa. It turns so orange. Does that mean I need to go to a lighter shade?
Areil Ramirez That means the foundation oxidizes darker than you are on your skin once dry also doesn't have the correct undertone if it looks orange on you....it may possibly mean you need a shade lighter but the dewy and smooth doesn't have a large shade range like the matte and poreless line does...because of that limited shade expansion many of the undertones or the shade in general for the foundation may not match your skin tone. It's unfortunate but true...I'm more dry skin so I would love for an expansion for the dewy and smooth line but that may not happen. Possibly try the shade under or over the shade Toffee or try mixing the two of them. If it still doesn't work I would recommend for the drugstore black radiance foundation or the covergirl queen collection especially if you are more dry skin...they have better undertones in the drugstore for women of color...hope that helps 💕 and the best thing is you can always return makeup if it doesn't workout for you 😊 Also if you don't wear makeup a lot investing in one good high end foundation that matches you completely would not be a bad thing at all getting shade matched at a store like Sephora and asking for a sample to try it may be worth it before taking the plunge. Hope everything works out for you.
Did truffle oxidize on you at all throughout the day? I’m tired of looking orange with 360 mocha but I’ve seen a few reviews where truffle oxidized grey. Idk if it has to do with it being the wrong undertone for them but you and I have a similar complexion and yellow undertone. Help will be very much appreciated!!!
Ash It may oxidize some but it just settles into my skin more than anything...it never looked grey on me the times I’ve tried it out...it may be the wrong undertone for some people or it may not mix with their body chemistry well or may be reacting with other products they are using. My best bet is to try it out for yourself though and if it doesn’t work many stores accept makeup returns and it’s not too expensive so it’s definitely worth the try.
