My favorite thing was Reject wars. That tug of war was so damn fun to me especially when you see them combo for a sure kill or to be in a better position. This was such a cool mechanic I was hoping would still be in strive. The mind games you get from it has always been the coolest shit I've felt within GG. Blitz was a nice incorporation and I liked it better than +R's slashback or Strive's FD instant block. It was easy to use and very different from other defense mechanics, as in, it wasn't a variation nor an OP version of an existing mechanic. All the mechanics I named have their drawbacks or problems, but Blitz is my favorite.
I've heard Blitz and Blitz Attack mentioned before but never knew what the fuck it meant, I kinda assumed that it was a second mechanic in the genre of Danger Time. Now that I see what it is, I'm not very surprised that my Baiken-main ass wasn't able to figure it out - I already have The Cooler Blitz

Strive is a sequel and main game interm of story, but you need to know arcys never stop doing something new, if they want it they can keep updating Strive (not even 1 year old game) to the same level of sign 1.0 or rev
Yes and no, unlike azami (baiken's parry in xrd) blitz CAN'T be done during blockstun, low blitz loses to mids, and there is only the one follow up to it. Because of this blitz can't be used in a lot of the same situations azami can be.
If it was simpler and less conditional i don't think it would work as well as it does. In a game that's complicated, if it was simple it would come off as spammable as reversal edge from soul calibur 6
