No matter how big the house, I know I don't want my wife and my mother in close proximity!

Multi-generation home sounds like a nightmare to many of my American friends. But, no matter how long I live in America, I couldn't shake off the Asian value and desire to live with my parents and being able to support them the way they supported me until their dying days. I would be too worrying about how they are doing if I live apart from them.

Considering the ludicrous rise of prices this seems to be more and more likely the future of America.

If parents are old, poor and sickly, it's an entirely different story altogether! Sad but a reality!

3 generations living separately, you can achieve that. What if the 1st Gen lived on the 3rd floor, 2nd Gen on the 2nd floor and 3rd Gen on the 1st floor?
