    Why does your calculation not consider dry matter, since all materials do not have the same moisture content?

      @isaacifowodo4808 Před 2 lety +3

      It's simple quantity of feed stuff, divided by total quantity of feed times the percentage crude protein of that particular feed stuff. Eg say 30kg of corn(cp 9%) in a 100kg of feed. 30/100×9 = 2.7% cp

    Sir what stage of catfish are u formulating feed for? Bcs every stage of catfish has their own protein requirements.. So we must consider that first..and I also don't understand how u are using GNC this much in a feed bcs GNC is a fatty acid its only required in small quantity in fish feed therefore 2.5kg of GNC is added to 50kg of feed which means in a 100kg of feed we only need 5kg of it thank you sir..and u can also educate me on why u used more than that since I know u are quite educated than me in this topic thank you

      Regard to ur question sir, the use of that amount is to boost the protein content and GNC been highly reach in lipid doesn't meant anything apart from slowing the digestion period. Also you are not using it alone with other ingredient so it cool so long is not more than the soycake

    It is a simple calculation you made it lengthy. Every ingredient has its own Protein %. just multiply this % with the quantity of that ingredient being used. You dont have to do Y/1😂😂😂

      No offence to him but you're right. I try to calculate CP content in my 10kg aquafeeds with 4 ingredients using this method but I have doubt in my result.
      Fish meal - .45% x 5 = 2.25
      Rice Bran - .14% x 2 = .28
      Cornmeal - .20% x 2 = .4
      Wheat Flour - .22% x 1 = .22
      TOTAL CP = 3.15
      I only got total of 3.15 CP.

      His formula is top-notch, you were supposed to multiply by 10 since you are making 10kg feed which will give you 31.5cp. Pearson square method is used when you are making feed with a particular crude protein in mind and you want to know the individual ingredients percentage composition, his method is used when you want to know the crude protein percentage in a particular feed from their individual components
