good question, (1) dlight -> [gc]nsig, (2) dlight->recovery if you don’t have a dodge, and (3) raw recoveries are all a solid place to start

This video was super good!! Even though I knew almost all of these combos, I didn't realize I could use some of them to kill like dlight sair on gaunts
I also despite being an orb main, didn't know that dlight recovery existed so this video was really good for intermediate players too!

Use a chase dodge in & up instead of jump for dlight recovery on sword, jump recovery sometimes whiff if the dlight connects far enough and it could be very frustrating, chase dodge gives all the same advantages of jumping here and also is way more consistent

NOTE FOR LANCE: you can do dash jump + fast fall + sair to do a quick unexpected sair that is initiated from the ground

I didnt know katars could KO offstage, though I mostly know about the hammer and axe but good to know that I had to get close with side light, no wonder it was hard to land side light, even with a proper range than before.

heads up, hammer got nerfed since this video and dlight sair isnt a combo anymore until high damage levels, dlight dair works the best atm.
If you're on keyboard doing dlight recovery on blasters is easy. Just press the keys in 2 different phases as fast as you can after you are not stuck in the dlight animation.
There's the Dlight. Then after that finishes you want to quickly press the dash jump inputs all at the same time, then into an up key+recovery at the same time. I like pressing the up key because I accidentally do ground pound sometimes without it.
All you have to do is do the transition in the last 2 parts fast enough and you can get it consistently. With this I got dlight recovery consistently within the first hour easily.

@@reymorr9429 still they dont have to teach that. Even of exists some advanced combos they should teach the breads an butters like DLight NLight/Dair that will always be true. Dont have to be specific all combos, plus dlight nair is useless without dair
@@learnyoutube3865 i totally agree, but it would still be annoying for new players who have not yet played brawlhalla, even simple moves like dlight said on axe,hammer,sword and gauntlets. Further more if it wasn't mandatory it will just cause frustration to the average new player and would just skip it entirely, by the time a player is good enough to complete the tutorial they wouldn't need said tutorial
Greatsword is the weapon thats daunting on paper but easy when actually using it

ive been having trouble getting the sair in the dlight combo to hit after jumping
For axe you can get side light sair true way easier if you have at least 7 dex
Golds: hold my sig
With ace side light into jump ground pound has around 3 dodge frames and you have to dodge down into to escape it
Not neccesarily, you can jump then dodge or delay your dodge
Thanks egg, i always struggle to find KOs specially in scythe, katars, sword, gauntlets. There are winnable games I lost cause i tunnel visioned in using a sig and I looked over lots of chances for true combos. I have been trying to do my best to not play this way lately this helps a lot...

For gauntlets my favorite option is gc dlight + chasse done sideways into recovery. Kinda hard to do but it's true

i cant use the aim up config (my fingers didn't reach the keys D:) and also i changed the way i play the game. i was playing it mouse + wasd + K H J L (for gc i took my hand off the mouse and use L + K or J for heavy or light attack, H is for throwing weapon and i also dodge with L), but now im playing WASD + K H J L bcs its easier for me. besides that im looking for play scythe/gauntlets, but i cant do some combos or strings without the aim up config, can u help me? D:

If your rank is low gold or lower, yiu should be happy, because if someone has 0 IQ he will still sig spam no matter what

I’m pretty sure that sidelight finisher from either dlight or nlight can kill at orange on small brawlhaven, I think it has the most force out of the finishers

Don't worry about making the axe combo true, just delay to side air or don't go for the side air to bate for recovery, dodge and failed punishes.
Also to add, don't be a silly and start grounded combos with side light, be a real axe player and use down air, is really good dude to the version you use when you almost hit the ground (also d light hits grounded and is a really fast move to throw)
i try to do combos but i can never land dair with any thing gauntlets especially. i play on x box so idk something. should i keep practicing more and more?

hey eggsoup im new to brawlhalla, if you get launched very far, what's the best order to have the biggest chance to get back on stage? like dodge jump etc?(no weapons)

If you have no weapon you can try using Dair(down air), it will make you be able to go further.
You also want to try to save your dodge unless you need to use it.
Jumps and recoveries don't magically change distances based on the order, so it's very situational. You might want to save your recovery until the end because your opponent keep walking into them and you can get a free chase dodge(you can do a "speed dodge" if you dodge soon after you attack someone), it could be like getting a free extra jump if you dodge upwards after hitting them. You also might want to use your recovery earlier because recoveries can be easier to punish to a player that's good.
@@XENOX-777 in conclusion, it is pretty situational and many cases it depends on your weapon for example cannon and gauntlets sair gives distance and rec on hammer can be used to attack on offstage even when recovering. Mainly just dont spam your options you will just lose height and distance and keep watching your opponent
@@haidaraalkhayer5767 Yeah. You can also mix up your opponent by doing double recoveries on certain weapons, but you want to know what you're doing before you start doing stuff like that lol.

What are active inputs with scythe
Let me explain, when you're in the air and do the Scythe down air or Neutral Air light attacks, you grab onto your opponent, in these attacks there is Active Input meaning you can change where you take the opponent like moving them the other way and you do this by giving a new directional input like pressing left after attacking from the right, the side and down light attacks on the ground also have this, for example the Downlight can either kick your opponent forward, (By pressing the same direction that you hit from) or put them into the air. The Sidelight is basically the same.

Great video but those nooby enough to need these explained will often be too nooby to ever pull them off. Like look at me, a ~1550 ELO scrub (that's gold) who can barely ever land dlight on sword to begin with, let alone turn that into a true combo in the heat of the fight.
Other way around. These combos would be learned first and easily; if ur too nooby to learn these combos at all then you’re just too nooby. Neutral game comes second, as it’s the most complex.

How about show us on console for a change. The game is easy when you can execute everything precisely with keys on a keyboard instead of control stick or dpad. Climb ranked ladder with a controller teach console players how to close the gap between PC and console.
Just do the same things as shown there is literally no difference
