If this country really suffers the iniquity and shortfall of brotherhood people claim it does, this would not be the case. And no shit Lebron may not speak in the most grammatical way, he grew up in a bad community and not a good school system, and didn't even go to college, so this man came a long way in the person he is today.

    Excuse me, Ms. I'm sure LeBron won't mind doing 50% of what you said - he's worked super hard to get where he is, and he dribbles just fine! However, he didn't grow up with the same advantages you had, and to expect him to shut up about social justice is really too much. In your case, we don't even expect you to dribble; just do yourself a favor and SHUT UP (unless you have something to say that is actually helpful... You can figure that much out, right, college girl?)
    Lebron, I truly admire your fight for the people. Just one thing: simply for Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron and others from earlier eras to stand tall and endure the tsunami of abuse and death threats was an act of immense courage. I really don't believe we have the right to question their courage; we've never walked in their shoes. What they did and accomplished has a lot to do with why you have the success and the platform you have. We all stand on the shoulders of giants. Please don't forget that, okay?

Lebron may not speak the way the everyone is accustomed to or wants him the to speak but that doesn’t lower his message. And it's astonishing that he would double down and reiterate in this video clip that all white people are racists. How would Mr. James feel if a white NBA player had called all African-Americans racists?
    It's incomprehensible that he still doesn't understand that Trayvon Martin attempted to murder another person for no justifiable reason. Martin's own words indicated that he wanted to kill a person simply because he thought it was a white person. If Mr. James supports killing another person on the basis of race, then he is not the leader that he claims to be.

    where's she's wrong is to think that an having an opinion on our society is exclusive to those who were educated. politics is science of the society and living in a society without having an opinion is the most suicidal way of looking.
    everyone of all ages should have the science of the society in which they live. A science on how elections are being done , with the absurd "electoral college", everyone should should question itself on how money is being made, who owns the federal reserve, everyone should question itself on why is America creating more deaths in the Arab than they were before they joined.
    these questioning doesn't need education they need COMMON SENSE, and what proves it all is that, before there was any course at university, people used thier COMMON sense which lead them to call the domain in which they were trying to look for answers COURSES, like Chemistry, Archaeology etc.

    @kevinmcilwain2684 Před 6 lety

    Lebron didn't even respond to this nonsense. Laura Ingraham made his point for him. The fact is that a white coal miner can have a political opinion that Fox News views with credibility, whereas Lebron should just "shut up and dribble."
    Lebron James is has been a class act his entire career. And one of the reasons he may be the greatest athlete of his generation is because he made it on his own. He carved out a career for himself. Everyone wants to talk about how great Jordan's personal drive was, and indeed it was; but let us forget that he was inundated with values instilled upon him by his father, and they had a very close relationship, of which Jordan has credited with helping shape his own career.
    Lebron James had no idea who his own father was. Brian Windhorst even somewhat revealed that his alleged father was a HS basketball star who was killed when Lebron was a child. Lebron was caught for a period of time in the effects of systemic racism, having missed extended periods of school due to truancy/other factors. But he overcame so many obstacles, including living up to the hype as the "Chosen One." No HS player other than Lew Alcindor had as much hype for the future as Lebron, and he still lived up to it. And unlike Jordan, who was not considered a very endearing individual by virtue of his gambling and whatnot, LeBron James has never been in the news for any negative reason other than the reaction to "The Decision," which he admitted was misguided but did so to raise money for his charity.
    Again, this man understands the life of so many young people who will not escape the unfairness of systemic racism and poverty, which is why so much of his time and resources are devoted to addressing these issues in Akron. As great of a guy like, say, Steph Curry is, he was born into a much more privileged environment.
    And before someone says/thinks, "Lebron is 6'8" 250 lbs and Steph was not blessed with many physical attributes," realize that that seemingly points to Lebron's greatness and the issue that we have in America with regard to race relations/class issues. Steph Curry, despite not having elite physical attributes, could lean on the fact that he was advantaged in having an NBA father and growing up with great monetary and networking resources to develop into who he is today. Lebron James, a 6'8" physical behemoth, blessed with near unteachable basketball IQ, realizes that these attributes are the only reason he made it out of his situation in Akron. Had he lacked these attributes but yet been relatively talented, like say Steph was on the HS, and college level, he likely would not have made it due to the upper-middle class advantage that Steph had (again, all of this not to be a knock on Steph, his illustration is beside the point).
    Laura Ingraham has no clue as to the issues with her statement. She is incredibly ignorant (not willfully, mind you) as to issues surrounding systemic racism and poverty. She, like many other (largely white) Lebron haters, only see a physically-blessed athlete that was "given" everything have the nerve to speak out regarding these issues. What those people neglect is simple: the mere fact that you are born white or (in rare instances) are a minority born into a stable financial situation provides that you have been "given" an advantage. What is scary is that if Lebron James was a pretty talented 6'2" modest athlete in HS, we would not be talking about him. Think about the talent the basketball world likely missed out on because of systemic injustice.
    Again, Laura Ingraham, your comments only serve to further validate and articulate the point Lebron James makes. The mere fact that he was physically blessed and has reaped the benefits of that(as I am sure that you have reaped the benefits of being white) doesn't make him wrong on this issue. Of course, LeBron being who he is and having learned how it is for people in society who look like him, won't back down. And this again shows why he, in my humble opinion, is the greatest athlete of his generation. The hate this man receives -- for example, in not being as clutch in big moments as MJ -- is so petty and small in comparison to the much larger issues Lebron seeks to address.

      Barely graduation high school is not being a good role model. Speaking like an uneducated person makes a bad role model. Has LeBron ever said that blacks should stop killing other blacks? Has LeBron ever said anything about black girls getting pregnant over and over again by different black men??

      Dave Scandaliato LeBron doesn't really go out to clubs and stuff bc he's married with kids and is a respectable family man. He is well spoken and knowledgeable when he speaks, he just uses slang. I'm not sure why that's a big deal. His comment about Trump was made in answer to a question from a reporter in a press conference. I'm sure if he was asked about black on black crime, he would comment on it. He's a very classy athlete and he doesn't have to donate tens of millions of dollars to help kids, but he does. I support Trump also, but LeBron has the right to have an opinion and to voice it anyway and anywhere he wants.

      Dave Scandaliato 'Barely graduation high school?' With grammar like that you certainly can't expect to be taken seriously. Talk about the pot calling the kettle. My stomach hurts. 😂😂😂
